I was hoping that chicago would cut FW because I think we could really use him back on the cheap. I would not be opposed to signing Q Woods who can play 2 at 6-9. He probably needs an environment NY can provide for him. At an athletic 6-9 and what would be almost nothing to pick him up--is it worth it? I say sure, but I was hoping to fet FW back first:>)

Yea I was talking to some Bulls' fans the other day and they have such low expectations for Frankie, a bunch of them do think he will be cut surprisingly. I doubt that Bulls management would go with Duhon and Pargo over Frankie, but hey you never know. If he does get cut, I would love to have him back, but hew would probably sign with another team where he could get more playing time (maybe Charlotte?). Woods is someone I wouldn't mind taking a shot at. A very talented player and if he showed me something in the preseason, I would keep him.

I would love to sign Frank and/or Qyntel. Both are nice young talents.

Could we find enough minutes to keep FW happy? He would probably do better being a bigger fish in a smaller pond.

Chicago's a dumb organization that's made a ton of mistakes but I can't imagine them being dumb enough to waive Frank. They would have just asked for him to not be included in the deal if they didn't want him.

Wow. This is IT's chance. Shandon for Patterson and Woods works contract wise. Trade ID number 1956400

We trade a bad contract for a bad contract. At least you get a talented albeit troubled player in Woods.

Great Idea lets increase the tattoo, trouble making culture, that every team tries so hard to avoid.....

Frank Williams has a number of teams that he would go to before the Knicks

Bobcats-Where he would start and play 30 min a game
Lakers-Chucky Atkins, is not very good, and he could step in and get some exposure and playing time
Atlanta-Tony Delk?
Pacers-could use a back-up to split around 20 min a game

Is Woods really worth a roster spot on our team instead of Bateer or another center?

If Qyntel is cut the Knicks should just buy out Shandon
and sign Qyntel. This is just like money falling off trees.
I don't care if he likes dog fighting or doll fighting. Isiah should do everything in his power to get him over to the Knicks.

Would Isiah trade Shandon and Ariza for Patterson and Qyntel?

I think Portland would do that trade or atleast seriously consider that proposal.

Thre's no way Shandon alone would get Portland to bite.

The knicks would be just sick at the 1-2-3 spots.

Patterson backing up Crawford and Qyntel backing up Tim Thomas.

Yuck! Portland would have to include at least one unprotected 1st rd pick for me to consider that trade.

we were trying to sign rodney white to a 1mm$ contract--we could get him for peanuts if he is waived. is he worth a roster spot? well he is a MUCH better talent than any of the crp at the end of our roster--hes 6-9 and can play 2 guard. Hes not built like Johnson and is very good on the break and can rebound the ball. hes 6-9 230 and athletic with skills. do you keep a bruno sundov or ming bateer--NO or brewer who doesnt have CBA offensive skills? moochie???stinks this kid is what 22-23? its a no-brainer--if it doesnt workout so what we loss nothing.

I realize that and don't care. That's why I wouldn't even approach Portland with any offer involving Ariza. Teams haven't caught on to him and we won't get equal value in a trade.

Geeeez, the Qyntel Woods bandwagon has arrived? I'm not jumping in so fast. Qyntel's size is freak-like but I don't think he is a real basketball player and he sounds like a cancer. He should join the And 1 team and smoke pot with them. For the record, I rather keep Ariza and give this kid a chance. He sounds like a good kid with actual basketball skills and is just as athletic. Qyntel had his and blew it. Who cares.

Yeah for real. If you want Qyntel like others have said, might as well take Dermarr. Dermarr is at least a kid who worked back from his accident, is coachable, has some sort of work ethic I believe, and probably does not smoke pot/get in trouble with the law 24/7. Dermarr is every bit as lengthy and athletic from what I have seen, just skinnier.

I think a player like Woods would annoy Isiah Thomas. Woods has shown absolutely NO dedication to the game of basketball. Maybe this will be the first season that he decides to really buckle down and play some ball. But my guess is that Q. Woods is who he is....take him or leave him. Unless they've done interviews with him and by all accounts he's taken a turn for the better (i.e. Working hard on his game throughout the summer past). But being that he's being cut, maybe we're talking about the 'same ol' Q. Woods"

The Qyntel/Ruben for Shandon trade sounds good, but where's our roster space?

BTW, Ariza's not getting traded- he's being groomed for the NYK future (with good reason).
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!
