Now we saw him shooting a lot of jumpers last off season so so who knows, but this looks very encouraging

We have zero clue how efficiently he’s shooting these. Just another video. Sorry to be Debbie Downer but it’s the truth.

I agree, i remember watching frank draining 3's (after he was drafted) like water in an empty gym.

Now if that was the Rucker tournament in Harlem (that a lot of NBA all stars participate in) i would be really excited

I mentioned this the other day. If he were hitting jumpers with any kind of consistency in practice, where it’s supposed to be super competitive, then he would be taking at least a couple of Js a game. Even an elbow jumper or 15 foot baseline. He’s not taking jack for jumpers though, ever, so I am assuming he hardly hits them at all in practice.

I doubt we see him take this type of shot in the near future if ever. But the fact that he has the talent and is coordinated enough to to do this is great.

that's the bottom line. Talent is there, have to be able to execute it in an NBA game.

What would really help is a top notch coaching staff and the right kind of leaders on the team.

When your playing around a bunch of other young guys and a young in experience head couch trying to figure it out, veterans who have their own agendas, your going to end up with a dysfunctional losing culture.

I don't know how many times I heard Frazier talk about how willis reed and some key veterans played a key role in his development.

One of the reasons KP is a good perimeter player is because he model his game after guys like Kobe and Melo from the day he picked up a basketball

We don't have an dysfunctional losing culture. We don't have a winning culture. Big difference. We lack a culture. Period.
This team has lacked talent. It lacked a closer. It lacked cohesiveness. But it was not dysfunctional. Miller is not an inexperienced young coach. Not quite an NBA saavy one mind you. Derek Fisher was a dysfunctional young coach trying to figure it out. Miller improved the team.
Willis was mentored by Walt Bellemy a selfish player. He grew from it. Willis had 4 coaches in his first four seasons. what happened is the team got more talent each year. Knicks won with Holzman in year three of his tenure. Clyde was 22 and needed a few years to grow. Willis was ROY, he killed it out of the gate! Willis was a leader! Not all players can mentor and do that.
Your saying we need "key" Veteran Leadership"? no ****ing shyt. Brilliant. You also need talent.
But it can't be selfish veterans, they have to be the right kind.
Kobe as a mentor? That's comical. He was not always a good teammate. KP patterned his game around Melo? is that a good thing?
Longest tenured player is your favorite Frank. What knicks need is consistency. From top to bottom. Frank had

His new agent is warming him up for the big extension. The "new" 5 shoots from 3. Now, so does Mitch.

Maybe catch and shoot 3's so he doesn't look like a palm tree on a standed island when he gets the ball at the top of the key. But he should not dribble for at least a few more years. You can steal that ball thru the screen. Man's too tall.

Ayton got that midrange shot down. Don’t sleep on PHX, they might be building things there.

He can probably do that against bigs but against some PF, all SF/SG/PG would take that ball away if he doesn't tighten up that dribble. Too high and too wide. Looks good though. Love the shot.

for sure, he is like Frank circa 2017 right now. If he can even shoot 30+% from 3point land AND put the ball on the floor, that's AOK with me. Gotta start somewhere

I'd be happy if this just translates to him being able to make two dribbles on faceup drive in a real game. Just needs confidence
