Mike miller doesn't know if he is going to get the job at all and could be a lame duck if had a insurance like contract extension then listen to your bosses but in this case and scott perry there not guaranteed next year your job is with the knicks. Plus when other coaching jobs come up in the off season mike miller got to make sure his record is solid so some other team can take a chance on him.

We don't know what they paid him to be interim coach rest of the season.
He was Gleague coach of the year last season. He got promoted on that. Others know he can coach. He has done a solid job. "Take a chance on him",, I doubt he would get much traction to coach an NBA team next year. On the bench as assistant? He is good. Perhaps he is back here or back to SAS. If his bosses want him to play the yoot, he plays the yoot.

Problem is other GMs wouldn't want a guy like that on their staff. So unless he goes on a massive win streak and leads the Knicks to the playoffs. He could potentially be hurting his coaching stock. You can only do stuff like that if you have a strong resume backing you.

Leon rose basically saying you have 44 days left until season ends and until i get my coaching guy or you could be the guy. What leon rose saying is politically correct answer on mike miller situation i will support you until season ends. If i was mike miller which i am not i going to do whatever line up i want determining on the game if vets doing well then i going with that or if young guys are doing well then i will go with them.

Maybe he says "I dont care who you play so long as Knox, Mitch and Frank get better"
