You got to show the young guys frank ,mitch ,knox, and rj barrett some type of culture of winning otherwise it becomes a kp situation and they ask out.
I kinda find myself agreeing with knicks1248, but I’m not convinced that adding a super late first round pick in what I have read is a weak draft is worth it and overcompensates for losing out on having Morris around to continue to help us win games.
Our draft picks, including our future ones, need veterans around to help them learn to win, help them learn what it means to be a pro off the court, and from everything said about Morris, he brought that.
I hope we can resign Morris in the summer. He proved he could play here.
was he a knucklehead? Yes.
Is he the #1 option on a playoff team? No.
Some of the talk about downplaying Morris and what he meant reminds me of the comments here about Kurt Thomas.
Great win last night. I certainly don’t want to win too many games and have us in a position to miss out on a solid talent in the draft.
And while I don't like the trade, I think Perry got a nice haul out of it.
I just would've not made this trade.
