Question, we trade our unicorn for what the FO thought was a future difference maker (One who had a decent second half with us) and then you continue his development by signing every PG with a pair of sneakers? Injuries aside, what kind of plan did we have with this kid and how exactly did we follow through? Same goes for Knox, Trier and Frank(when Bullock takes his minutes). Are we going to sign 3 or 4 SG next year to help develop(take minutes from) RJ, Our plan changes every 2 years. (Coaches every year) How does anyone think players want to be a part of such short sighted management that has no real plan nor sticks to one? But the good players, the so-called leaders at the point guard position play through it. I want a guy who sees a player like Payton signed on a one year deal and says eff it. Not a guy who cried when Luka Doncic comes in and accommodate his game or a guy who gets shook when a savvy vet comes in. I don't think DSJ looks right, but I hope he appreciates the fact that he's been playing like crap. Earn the damn minutes. If he can't step up to the challenge of Elfrid and Frank, then he's not built for this city. Always... always remember: Less is less. More is more. More is better and twice as much is good too. ![]() Apparently he is hurt:
https://nypost.com/2019/12/27/knicks-dennis-smith-has-same-injury-that-plagued-aaron-judge/ Dude is made of glass. If I can get a 1999 third round pick for him, I take it! Honestly, he is a candidate to be released outright. It's a distraction to the coach, front office and team to have him on the roster, unable to perform because he is always hurt. |

Btw, feel,"back in the day" they did not give up on 21 year old players in the first 20 games. Specially ones that averaged 15 and 5 their first 5 years., 'Knicks focus should be on players that have grown up playing soccer or cricket' - Triplethreat 8/28/2020

The Knicks extended him and give him time to get his game together. DSJ is the one reportedly pushing for a trade. And that 15 and 5 was obviously the result of getting free reign on a bad team. I wasn't calling for a DSJ trade in the past, either. I wanted to see him build his value up. Now, I have serious doubts about his mental toughness. Always... always remember: Less is less.
