We Lost 14 of the 17 games he's started and he is 45% of the reason the coach got fired. We have been lit up by every guard that plays us, some with career nights, please don't vouch for his defense as a defense to why.

This was franks GOLDEN opportunity( a 3rd yr pg) to establish himself as the starting PG, and he failed IMO.

We are a very bad team with him starting, and he makes other players really bad.

He forces other guys to handle the play making duties, he forces guys to go 1 on 1( because he gives up the ball to quick), he can't space the floor, can't finish around the rim.

I just don't think NY is for him, I don't think this is the right role or position for him.

I know you guys think i don't like him, but i have always felt that he is in a bad situation for his development, and his numbers and our record make it so DAMN evident.

So we should start DSJ? Payton just came back. Maybe give him a few games?

He can be a really solid backup PG. until Payton gets his wind we have no other options. We badly need to get this right during the draft. A lot of PGs available.

Frank should be dealt. I have zero faith he amounts to anything here and very little fear we will regret trading him. On his own he might fetch only a mid 2nd rd pick, or a swap of another disappointing young player. But perhaps in a package deal he would have more value. Either way his ceiling as a player is "serviceable backup for short stretches/5th guard"

It's like that thing when you have an old chair you are attached to but then you get a new chair. The sentimental side of you says, hey lets just put this old chair in another part of the house, its still good. But if you look at that chair from a detached perspective devoid of sentiment you'll see its a pathetic piece of furniture and it should not be in your home.

Anything can be a chair if you try hard enough. Fizdale started a few foot-stools (Zo) and ottomans (RJ).

franks minutes are reduced.
Paytons are going up as his leg feels better.
Frank is on a short leash. He gets pulled.
PG are extension of coach, now he is being asked to run different sets instinctively. He either gets his shyt together or he will be benched.
Payton is more experienced and might adapt faster.
Its not who starts, its who finishes.

Frank got pulled in the third quarter and never returned in the last game. Miller made a call.
Payton started the season. Then got hurt. You remember that right? I’m being rude but you asked the question “why is frank still starting”. You have your answer.

I'm not so sure he's even a back up, his numbers are worse than any guard in the NBA playing his minutes. Some of his back breaking TO's are god awful, and changes the momentum big time.

I disagree. When you watch the game, you can see he has a positive impact on the game despite his stats. Granted, he had an awful game against the warriors. Usually, even if he's not the slash and kick type, he makes simple passes that gives a flow to our offense and his PnR is quite good. I wouldn't mind him coming off the bench provided he plays enough minutes. I reckon that when (if) we have a more talented roster, his impact will rise even more.

Was listening to Larry Hardesty before the GSW gm. He played an interview with Miller. Basically said that the team has gotten to good starts so he likes Frank starting but Payton will probably finish the gms. But again that was before the GSW game.

i think Miller is taking baby steps -- which IMO is smart. Focus on one or two things at a time in a priortized way.

And following from the above, (as celts used to say) it's not who starts it's who finishes that matters

If they're starting well w Frank then keep doing that. Let that game itself dictate who finishes on how they're performing

I have no issue with him starting. He definitely had a bad game. Hoping for growth

I think Miller is going to give Payton starter minutes, and ease him into the starting lineup...I hope frank is taking notes from Payton, when you attack the basket it opens up the whole floor.

Payton is a stud, he’s always been on the cusp of breaking out, then gets the injury bug. Let’s hope he can stay healthy.

We are wasting our time with him in the starting line up..

Frank will get mills fired (leading the team in minus the last few games)

Payton will at least give them HOPE

Broadcast last night said Payton is still on a minutes restriction. “Sort of”.
Notice its Payton finishing. Who cares who starts?

lets over play payton so he gets hurt again and then we can be assured of really losing games. None of this managing thing.
