Bogey looked slow and plodding to me in the playoffs so don’t see why they would go after him. If he comes here doesn’t he slow the development of Mitch Robinson?

I’d rather keep Kornet.

1 year deal? I’m cool with it.

I'm ok as long as the contract is reasonable to bargain even if it extended past a year. He's a very talented player. Even plays some D. Can he play PF? Unless we resign Vonleh we actually don't have a PF on the team.
You are screwed if he's the centerpiece of your rebuild though.

Knicks look like they want to build the all damaged goods team. Big money on injury prone players. Looks like they haven’t learned any lessons from the past.

I understand they need to spend the money on someone. I just don’t understand the benefit of a one year deal on a guy like cousins. He’s going to be out for his own, padding his stats in hopes of a big contract next year. He’s going to take a lot of shots and slow the development of the young guys, and next year he signs with someone else. Where’s the benefit to the Knicks? Should be trying to get guys on 2 year deals or at least get team options for the second year.

People forget how good Cousins can be. I don't see an issue with signing him for one year. Takes a lot of pressure off Barrett.

He can be good but if you watched the finals he was a shell of himself. The Knicks have taken these risks before and they always backfire. I understand the need to make a splash just don’t do it just to do it. This guy is going to mess with development of MR and they already got rid of the ideal type of spacing center in Kornet in this new NBA.

I’ve said this before to the point of beating a dead horse but this is one whacked organization and nothing would surprise me. They can’t help but do stupid.

Prefer Randle. Lower cost, and he is on the upswing.

same, I think I even prefer Vucevic to Boogie. I'm kinda surprised to say that. But my buddy who is Raps fan credit Boogie for why they beat GSW. And I Kinda agree. I know he got some numbers but he definitely practiced that matador d. Vucevic at least spaces things out

Def prefer Randle even if it is for multiple years. Not a big fan of Boogie before he was injured - bad attitude and he looks like he's still a year away from regaining his pre-injury form. Would rather sign D.Jordan for 2 more years to mentor Mitch. Even Kornet... Locate Michael Doleac if it came to it

NO thanks. Low BBall IQ and too clow for the game today.

He can score down low but will jack 3's at the worst time. Gets bad fouls and T's.

Hell NO!

Only problem there is that Randle has no outside shot. With him and Mitch there is no room in the paint with all the other poor shooters we have on the team.

It's not like Boogie is that much more of a threat. And he fits more into this positionless mess Fizdale preached.

He tore a quad and come back in like 6 weeks. It’s why he looked bad.
Any thought what he did was impressive? Looked to me he had no conditioning after being up that much time.

This just tells you how injury prone he is. First Achilles then Quad. Dude is breaking down. One year contract a year to take up development time from MR and probably Knox. Just another Mudiay type pick up.

Not only has he had breakdowns, but he's a very large man who has never had a rep for being in super condition and at the right weight.

Cousins, unlike Jordan, is not a player who can help Mitch because he has some of the same player abilities as Robinson. In some ways, Jordan was/is, the perfect mentor for Mitch based on the kind of game he's been known for over his career.

Cousins has tons of talent, but I wouldn't take him for a year if I wasn't 100% sure that I'd want him after that one year, all things considered.

There are three classes of men; lovers of wisdom, lovers of honor, and lovers of gain. (Plato)
