either sign Isiah Thomas or draft Trae Young. It would be easier I think to pay up to Thomas(again the caveat that hes healthy)

I dont see any other "engine" type PGs who can change our play available.

Right now I guarantee if I had pick 1 Trae Young would be a Knick. No question asked. Also I would be willing to give Kristaps Porzinigs to get him. Thats if I know in June I wont get Thomas.

We can improve with other players--but Im convinced this organization needs an engine type PG--one that dictates style and pace of play. Frank IS NOT that.

If I had pick 9 and I found a team picking 1-2-3 would take KP for Young--done deal. Ill draft a big or trade my 9 down.

Are we going to have to put up with you creating new threads every few days for the rest of the season saying how we should sign IT?

Nope--dont need to post again about it. We need direction so badly--its quite obvious what we need.

Briggs you have come up with a new "savior" every week. My favorite is still that"frank Kaminsky will be the next Larry Bird"

I agree about our need at PG, 100 percent, but I dont believe we will know until next season if Frank is the real deal. Not saying he has to be a complete player in the space of a season. At the same time, we wont really know if Frank can be a legitimate starting PG until he has some time to absorb what he has learned this season, and make the necessary adjustments. Im sure he's heard the talk about him being reluctant to take it to the rim. Im sure Frank doesn't like it.

We should know next season if Frank can be the man. Just need to see him come back with a chip on his shoulder.

Put it this way--Id be all in on losing every game I could in order to get young. Let other teams take the bigs. Game changing player.

Can’t we just ban Briggs from making threads? It’s kind of making the board lame. I’m sure some of us would like to start threads and discussions but it would just get lost in the shuffle of all the crap.

We came into this season with Sessions and Jack knowing neither was a legit difference maker. Nitty at 19 logically is in early development. So of course adding any relatively young stud at PG would make a big difference. Since we need Frontline Talent i’d say the same about SF too. YES the Knicks need more talent which was a given from the start.

Thing is I suspect this team will at some point get THJ back and some roster moves will be made. Let’s see how this season plays out first. There’s a LONG way to go.

Id be all in if it was guaranteed. Its not. Why Id rather try to change the culture first.

I'd say SF is our biggest priority. We can't go on with Tim at SF. Too small. Everyone else is too one dimensional and it's gotten to the point that guys think starting Beas is the answer. Dotson isn't the answer either. He would be if he was a few inches taller. I'm not worried about point, because we already have a prospect there. We have nothing at SF. I like Dougie, but as a starter. Maybe in a different situation, but we can't cover for his flaws. Lance, who I like as a person, is shot. I understand this is a rebuild, so I can't be too critical in year one. But this is something that needs to be addressed down to G-League level.

Winning changes the culture. These are guys who can win. Id like to keep KP and draft Trae Young in the best case scenario--but we need to stink the 2nmd half of the year.

BD--the Rockets just grabbed G Green out of no where shoved him in at SF and hes been playing out of his mind. Players get better shots with great PGs

Players get better shots with good point guards and effective offenses. Heck, players sometimes get good shots with good wing creators and guys like Boogie Gibson or John Paxson playing PG. There's no one way to approach this.
