Assuming no more trades/signings this is the rotation I'd like to see this year...

K.Thomas Mohammed
Baker Sweets/JYD
T.Thomas JYD/Ariza
Crawford Houston/Penny
Marbury

I say let's start building chemistry with our future players, why play Anderson and Norris if they aint staying? plus they suck...

I think the 3 man rotation at the 1,2 will be made up of Crawford, Marbury and Penny, I think Houston won't play more then 20 games.

Let JYD back up both the SF and PF which will allow Sweets to get more minutes. Ariza might not be ready for full time back up minutes.

Assuming Baker is even close to how he was playing for Boston, let him start with K.Thomas who is already undersized. Then Nazir can play with Sweets or JYD. That way we have at least one 6-10" and over player on the court at any one time.

Either way IT has provided us with the ability to be super flexible and create a multitude of lineups to suit every matchup and team. And we have to start going through these different lineups and experimenting and gelling so that by the time we make another trade itll be as easy as just inserting this new player(s) and just needing a few games for them to make the adjustments.

If you really think about it we are almost like an expansion team in the sense that almost all our players have not been on the team for more then a year together. So have some patience, cut Marbury some slack and enjoy what you have.

They'll fight it out in training camp and pre-season for minutes and the best players will rise to the occasion and get the most minutes. This isn't Layden where someone like Weatherspoon or Harrington will play and Sweetney will go on the IR or Eisley will start ahead of Frank Williams. Isiah actually knows a thing or two about winning games in the NBA.

I'd like to see

Marbury/Crawford/Moochie
Houston (if he's healthy)/Crawford/Anderson
Thomas/Penny/Ariza
Thomas/Sweets/JYD
Mohammed/Baker/Thomas

Crawford 6th man ~25 mins per night
Sweet, Baker, Penny ~15min
JYD ~10min

with Crawford, Sweet, baker, and penny, JYD taking up all of the bench minutes on most nights

Ariza should get any playing time left over and moochie and anderson can ride teh bench until we have blowouts.

Sweets should definately get more than 15 a night. I'd like to see him start, but if no I think atleast 22 mpg.

Marbury/Crawford/Moochie
Crawford/Houston/Ariza
TT/KT/Baker
JYD/Sweetney/KT
Nazr/KT/Baker

Start 5 has 2 good defensive players. I know guns hates Nazr but I think he can play defense.

I wouldve had sweets as a starter if we traded thomas. I wanna see JYD get mins too, as well as baker.
We're kinda congested. I'd like to see sweetney get a lot of minutes too, but i would think that it's gonna be hard

they should go w/a 10 man rotation:

starting 5:
Marbury, Houston, TT, KT, Nazr

2nd team:
6. Crawford
7. Sweetney
8. Baker
9. Penny
10. JYD

garbage time:
11. Ariza
12. Moochie or Shandon

IR:
Shandon or Moochie

That's more of a rotation that I favor except I want Shandon on IR. He is done as a Knicks IMHO.

the good thing with lenny is that the players that play well, will play so if there's any slacking, then you'll be benched. very simple and refreshing after chaney was ordered to start eisley and play spoon.

we have many combinations that will cause other teams fits. we also don't have a combination that can stop teams so it will be an interesting season but alot more fun than the past few. with a marbury and crawford backcourt (not even talking about houston), i can't think of a tougher backcourt to defend b/c of their versatility and streakyness. the closest would be billups and rip.

I like TMS's lineup as well.Id rather they didnt put too much pressure on Baker as a starter just yet,if he does start Id rather see it happen gradually.Besides If he plays anything like he did before all of his problems surfaced he could be a 6th man of the year contender.

i think sweets should average around 20-25 mins/night with averages of 10/7 - i think that's a pretty conservative and realistic expectation.

I like TMS's rotation too. Actually, if everyone is healthy, Shandon should be on the IR, since Moochie is our only other pure PG. I like and am hoping for at least 45 wins this season. Let's see how it goes.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

It is in our best advantage not to play Anderson, because the more we play him is the more his trade value will deminish. Didn't you learn that from the playoffs???

What trade value? The guy is overpaid by THREE TIMES his actual value. No team wants him, in reality. We even got shot down offering Shandon for Tariq-Abdul Wahad. Forget it. Just keep him, suck up the bad move; if Shandon has a use, great. If not, leave him buried on the bench. That's all you have to do. There's very little chance of Shandon getting traded before his final year.

The trade value comes in 2 yrs when he has an expiring contract.
I would actually say he's paid at least SEVEN times his value because he's making around $7 mil and I think he'd struggle to get the full LLE (not MLE) as a free agent

speaking of Tariq looks like the Mavs getting ready to waive him.

As for minutes and rotation anything goes. Marbury and TT get 35 regardless. Houston's depend on health and Crawford either starts or get is the first off the bench and should also see 25-30.

The only other guy is Sweetney, who should get 20 minutes a game no matter what.

As for Penny, Moochie, Shandon, Ariza, Nazr, KT, Baker and JYD whoever plays the best gets the most minutes.. plain and simple. The only guys that have a set amount of minutes are the ones above. I dont care if Mr. Extension KT NEVER gets off the bench if its because JYD and Sweetney are playing great at the 4.

KT is money in the bank off the pick and roll with Marbury.

Preseason will dictate this, let's just hope Houston's back to full strength and Sweetney is what we think he will be in the post.
