I wouldn't mind Rondo, because he would be golden for KP and Melo, he's the kind of head strong pg that wont force the ball to melo( I seriously doubt he get traded this season). The way he played with KG, I can see him elevating KPs touches.

Do we get a MID level exception?

I'd love to add rondo, the way rondo plays would benifit frank long term .

Rondo
Timmy
?
Willy
KP

I still think we move melo, we really want to give KP the keys to be the main man . And that's not happening with melo on the team

I think Ntlikina starts from day one.

I would really like to see the Knicks sign Cat Barber and/or Pierre Jackson.

Detroit needs to make a salary move. Reggie Jackson could be an option if his knee is healthy

I would like to see that as well, but if we really want a vet to guide him I'm ok with rondo

I see us moving Courtney Lee when Hawks fail to match Tim Jr's contract, so either e'll land a PG with that or will land cap space to sign one.

There's no way this 19 yr old kid makes it pass December if he starts, talk about the rookie wall. We already see he's not the most durable, putting that kind of pressure on him is not good development

Can you say Dwight Buycks. 28 y.o D-Leager destroyed Randle in SL with 4 half court steals

You have to assume they have a Lee trade they can make as soon as Atlanta passes.

It seemed like in the games I watched everybody killed Randle. I thought Buycks looked good. I really like Cat Barber and Pierre Jackson. Barber reminds me a lot of Ish Smith. Jackson has some similarities to Isiah Thomas. Ish and Isiah both did well with Jeff. I think the Knicks would be smart to give one of them a shot.

Cat Barber is the guy I would snatch up in a heart beat. You are spot on with the Ish Smith comparison. I believe I made a simialr one in the summer league thread. I wouldn't mind Pierre Jackson either, he's a better shooter/scorer that Barber but I like the quickness Barber brings to the table...

Why would Rondo want to come to a rebuilding team at this point in his career? I'm sure their is a playoff team that will offer a contract once the well dries up...We will be his very last option, i'm sure...

I would go after Rondo hard and keep Lee as the sixth man...why all of a sudden we have to trade Lee???

Wouldn't be surprised if Smart ends up in a Knick uniform now. They need big man help. I predict a KOQ for Smart trade.

They don't have to trade him. But he is over 30 and his best role is coming off of the bench on a good team.

Kid has played in professional league they play a lot of games a lot more than college kids. Sure I don't envision him playing 30-40 minutes a game. But Info see him getting a lot of time and I honestly think vet leadership is overrated to mentor a player. Honestly a good coaching staff takes care of all of that.

You might be riggt, except at the point guard position. Think of it like being an NFL quarterback. I think it's beneficial to have a guy who's been through the wars and can show by example on the court.
