Phil's been gone for a couple of days now and we're already hearing stories about the team giving up number one draft picks for general managers and such. There's talk about us signing Jeff Teague for $20 million per. Even crazy stuff about bringing in Rondo. Can we get Melo to agree to a trade now that Phil's gone and then bring Phil back immediately after the deal goes down? At least he holds onto draft picks and knows how to find good young talent. Miss him yet? I sure do.

Someday I'd like to visit this universe in which what people are speculating on in social media matters.

What color is the sky there?

This is free agent week and we're an organization that's running without a leader. It's just ridiculous. Or is Melo in charge?

I don't have a problem with the firing BUT I have a problem with the timing. This should have been done in April. Phil and melo should have been gone to be honest. I actually like Frank but if another president was hired than aye we get monk or smith

Yeah, I also much preferred it when the president of our team was picking petty fights with our best players

And the same folks who will complain if we make any moves will complain if we don't make any moves. Sorry but Blake Griffin is not available at the mid-level exception and nobody is going to trade John Wall to us for Noah.

It should have been done before Phil got his extension. He got paid and then went to the owner about buying out Melo. I don't think any part of a buyout came up until Phil got his 24 mil.

Who cares that he got his money. truthfully its Dolan's money so I don't give a damn. As far as te buyout its probably the only way to get rid of Melo since nobody has any interest in trading for melo

Fair enough.

What does that have to do with sports writers and fans speculation, the main thing you were complaining about?

Yeah, that would've been ideal but if the choice is between letting him continue to hang around or whacking him now, you do what you have to do.

I didn't say they should have let him hang around...it just shows you how stupid our ownership is.

My point is you don't ask your boss to fix your 54 million dollar mistake and then expect him to pay you 24 mil. Phil took care of Phil first and then approached about the buyout.

But how can we move on properly if we have no one in charge? This is a crucial part of the year for us. The timing was just horrible. Did they even have someone in mind when Phil was axed? It sure doesn't look that way.

Of course. In hindsight Dolan should've just elected not to opt-in on the rest of Phil's contract when he had the chance. I agree, dumb move by Dolan, but I'm glad he eventually did it even if he was late to the party.

I agree which is why I said the timing is horrendous. There is also nobody that is really good to get because they are either involved with other teams or because they don't want to deal with dolan(which I understand).

Pretty sure he meant fans should move on.

That's as easy as wanting to. Once you ddo, you have.

Please bring back the Knicks are seriously considering bringing back Derick Rose rumors. Oh how I missed the Phil Days of real FO leaks for former MVPs instead of players like Teague.

Yup that's what I meant. the funny thing is that the people who hated Phil and wanted Phil fired are talking about him more than ever lol. I hated Isiah when he was president BUT once he was mercifully gone I never talked about him again because I wanted to make belive his tenure never happened
