Imagine the look on MDA's face. He said that Kobe was the hardest player he had to coach which surprised me under the circumstances. Melo is at an age where he is going to be more effective as gunner, than an ISO, take it to the rim kind of player. He might be more willing to accept that role with a contender, the way he did in the Olympics. I take it you disagree.

Once MDA here's that Melo is a target I expect MDA to step down.

Kobe was the hardest player to coach because of his extremely high demands in addition to his strong personality. He knew exactly what he wanted the team to do down to the finest little details. This can be intimidating to a coaching staff. He was the hardest player to coach for all the right reasons.

Melo is a hard player to coach for all the wrong reasons.

If MDA felt the same way Im pretty sure he would have put Melo first.

Good question. His 3pt shooting might come in handy for a contender.

I thought we fired Phil for you!! Melo!! we fired Phil for you and you go away??? Then why did we fire him now? Think for KP!! You told him what to do and go rebel but you go to find a better team? It is very far from your son!! Houston!! You said you love to be here!! Fans everywhere support you everyday! we keep recycling everything bad about Phil and Rambis and make sure we ruined their career forever but now you go away? Why have we done this? Do you get the news? Isiah Thomas would be a "dark horse" to be our new GM!! we didn't kill Phil for him!! Please!! We killed Phil for you only!!

we have to call some Melo fans to ask him to be here! At least ask him to agree with a trade and give us some picks.

His deal is untradeable. Melo probably would have worked with Phil on a buyout before the presser. PHil needed to approach Melo as a partner not create bad blood. He took the shaming approach and it might be one of the reasons he isn't with the Knicks.

Cant believe Ariza is still in the league, and a good role player. Like he discovered the fountain of youth. Been in the league a long time.

Yeah!! Fire him!! but why now? Isiah Thomas is coming back! And he goes to a better team and win a ring? Why did we fire Phil Jackson now? We didn't fire him so Isiah Thomas can come back.

I mean, we won this battle for him As fans we won it, right? but the winner is gone now, then what do we win now?

I really want to be neutral, I really do. I just want to find an angle that firing Phil is actually a good thing. Isiah "Dark Horse" Thomas is not a good thing. Yeah, the new sounds crazy until we realize the owner is Dolan.

I vaguely remember that quote, lol. You're going to have to refresh my my memory.

With James activated, Ariza could be deactivated. Brown is furious Ariza raised the issue Monday that a lack of communication existed and “confusion” reigned in the locker room.

Ariza, 20, was angered Brown told the beat writers before he told him of his demotion.

“Every other coach has [spoken to him] a number of times,” Brown said. “He’s just delusional. Things get over fast with me. It’s what you do in practice every day. To say he doesn’t know what’s going on, he’s delusional.”

Brown questioned the UCLA product’s attitude.

“It has nothing to do with how he’s playing,” he said. “It has nothing to do with basketball. He’s just got to grow up a little and understand it’s a team and he’s got to act like a good teammate.

“Sometimes when they hear it from me, that’s just coach,” Brown said. “We got five other [coaches] that have visited with him privately. And he heard something pretty specific from me before the game. If he doesn’t know, it’s because UCLA wasn’t a good academic institution.”

Brown coached the Bruins from 1979-1981.

Ariza, last season’s golden-boy rookie, said, “He just wanted the most out of me. He didn’t feel I was giving him everything I had. Everyone has their own opinion.”

The latest feuds involving Brown, Ariza and James underscore a deeper issue of whether Brown is motivating or turning off the players.

Brown’s brutal honesty hasn’t thrilled Isiah Thomas. When last week’s Stephon Marbury war erupted, Isiah told Brown to ease up. But Brown, 65, will do what he wants, and was stunned he had to take a media-training class in preseason

Crazy how similar the circumstances are today.

Thats it. Yup, one big happy family!

I hope Dolan does an honest to goodness search this time for the best pres. Not those consultants who suggested that Mills should be the GM. I wouldnt mind Mills going back to being president if Gaines got promoted to GM though. Would be nice to see someone in-house earn the job. From what I've read he is a free thinker, not a company man. Might rule him out, but I would prefer Gaines to a celebrity hire.
