1. Do we know why he did it? Nope.
2. Teach him a lesson? Wow, get a life.
3. Was it an on court issue? No, its between him and Phil.
4. Unless we were denied access to the new MSG program "Exit Meeting Wifes", then why is our business?
5. Lets show him and others what sensitive fickle fans we are! Not only is the media brutal, but we lap it all up and turn on players from it!
Jeez, do we really think that in the history of the game players never missed a meeting? Was it a huge media story then? Nope. I read once that Louis Orr was really bad about picking up his dirty sweat pants after a work out and was told by management to not treat locker room attendants like garbage. Orr was not receptive to this and started leaving his socks and undergarments as well. The Locker room attendants union protested the lack of support by management as they wanted him fined. In a show of unity, the bathroom attendants in steak houses accrues the tri state area held a walk out on a saturday night. The backlash form that was intense as men had operate electric hand dryers or manually engage paper dispensers!!! This act of "defiance" spread to France where transit workers shut down the subway system and the airports closed disrupting traffic to 58 major countries around the world!!!!
In a private meeting, Al Bianchi and Mr Orr discussed the global implications of his actions and with the players association backing a negotiated settlement was found hours before the sanitation workers in NYC were set to strike!!!
In his first game back from the conflict Mr Orr when introduced was cheered by Knick fans as if never happened. Said on long term season ticket holder when approached about the chain of events: "I have no idea what your talking about, excuse me, I'm trying to watch the game".
