All things considered....

1. Johnathan Isaac
2. Diallo
3. Trade down

I'm not enthusiastic about Smith, Monk and Frenchy... I think they are too flawed to make it here. I see Frenchy being Jerian Grant part 2. I see Smith being Kyle Lowry before he got respect as a starter. Monk could end up being Tony Douglas with more hops. I could be wrong.... but I would rather try to get 2 or 3 picks for 1 and draft Frank Jackson and a couple other guys. That second round is going to be filled with talented upperclassmen pgs. I'm still a believer in Goss from Gonzoga. Goss might go undrafted. Just saying.

I am praying for Jonathan Isaac as well. That or one of the top 3 pgs falling to us in the 8 spot

Ha, you have the same top 2 as me! At 3 I would consider a few other players before going to trade down.

Us falling behind the Twolves in the draft stakes is going to kill our chances of drafting Isaac

We need a tough three who can rebound and play defense. Melo will be gone. OG has been compared to Kawhi defensively and could be our pick. I would then select Frank Mason, who is a really talented lead guard, with our 2nd pick or Frank Jackson, if he's available. I'm guessing that Melo will end up in LA with the Clips and we'll have Austin Rivers on the roster at the least.

Rivers/Mason/Baker/Randle
Lee/Holiday/3rd draft pick like Tyler Dorsey
OG/NDour
KP/Lance/Kuz
Willy/O'Quinn/Noah/Plumlee

In this scenario, we might even trade O’Quinn to Portland for one of their #1’s and select Diallo, Hart, Giles, Thornwell, Kennard, or Swanigan.
We could also trade Courtney Lee to the Wolves for Rubio and look like this:

Rubio/Mason/Baker/Randle
Holiday/Rivers/Dorsey/Diallo etc.
OG/NDour
KP/Lance/Kuz
Willy/Noah/Plumlee

Grant cannot shoot...Ntilikina can.

Rather significant difference, IMO.

EnySpree: Can we agree to agree not to mention Phil Jackson and triangle for the rest of our lives?

Grant could shoot in college... Frenchy can shoot in Europe

Nitty is a better prospect than Grant but he isn't a kid with the kind of Speed and explosion as the Elite PG's in this draft. He is however a super versatile guard! He's equally capable on or off the ball. His defense is going to be a real strength. He also is VERY low turnover which gets overlooked.
Basically he plays WINNING basketball.

Only time will tell.... I'm not a fan of his game at all. I'm reluctantly open to the idea of drafting him. I need to see him against nba competition

I like the idea of him rather than the reality, if that makes sense- I love the idea of having such a long PG, who is a defensive terror, can shoot and pass. But then i watch videos of him and I just don't see it.

If you want to trade down or draft Diallo, Denver (13th) said they might want to trade up to 8 or 9

Id like to trade down some

If Denver really wants to get up to 8 Id do 8-13 if they throw in Malik Beasley and pick 49 --take Frank Jackson at 13. Im pretty much set at picking Frank jackson at 8--the only team I worry about from 8-13 is 12 Detroit because they may need a PG--but they also need bigs.

Id take that minor risk

If I had to say pick 8

1) Frank Jackson
2) Jonathon Issac
3) Frank N

Just remember Nitty isn't even 19 yet!!! Pro scouts that live and breath this are able to project a lot better than most of us. They're looking at specific clues to determine how they should develop. For the most part they get it right. With Nitty I think he's more of a Triangle fit due to his versatility. IMO he's the most well rounded. Size, Length, Defense, Shooting! Able to play PG or SG well. High BBIQ and Unselfish. He's not a PnR Only guard. All of this makes him the most perfect Triangle Guard in the draft.

Now it depends on Gaines deciding if Isaac is the better Prospect if there at 8!

That's where I am exactly. I see a few other pgs that are his exact size and i prefer most of them over Frenchy.

Yep, I trust their scouting abilities more than mine!

LOL---Im not enthralled at pick 8. Im not sure grabbing a 7-0 SF is best for us unless we make more moves. Im really kind of stuck--I like the potential possibility of moving down or even up.
