Its early but it's pretty much set.... our Knicks might actually move up a few spots as far as ping pong balls go.

1.Boston
2.Lakers
3.Phoenix
4.Orlando
5.Philly
6.Sac
7.Knicks
8.Sac
9.Dallas
10.Minny
11.Charlotte
12.Portland
13.Miami

Sacramento has 2 pics. There's some stipulations associated with some of these picks...

I would like to get a consensus here.... post who you think these teams should pick. I'll post the popular votes on the big board as we go along...

This should keep us occupied till the Lottery

I get "Trans" should be "Teams", but "ego" has me stumped.

If we end up with the 7th pick then I would be happy with either Frank Ntilikina or Jonathan Isaac. Actually, I think Jonathan Isaac would be ideal if Melo is gone. Then just have Baker and Randle run the PG spot. I can live with CLee and Holiday at the 2 spot assuming Rose walks for more money.

so what, we wont even pick in the top 10 because we are to dumb to shut it down. We missed out on the franchise in Towns and we will just miss out again on the top tier players. Im so sick of being not bad enough

We got unlucky against Indiana but we gave it back tonight-- come on did anyone think we'd lose to the nets twice? Big win tonight on that one. Were bad no matter what with melo without melo. We stink defensively we have terrible ball movement and a bunch of inconsistent players. We simply sxk

your right i didnt think the knicks would drop 2 games to the Nets, the 2 wins that hurt were the 2 wins over the Magic

Anybody want to contribute to the Mock?

I think it's possible Boston could take Lauri Markkanen. They don't need a small fwd or a point guard... it wouldn't be a stretch to take him #1

That's a monumental stretch. No way he goes 1.

Why is it monumental? Cuz nbadraft.net didn't tank him higher? He's still the highest ranking 7 footer... really only true big in the Lottery. Celtics need a center. They have a winning record. They can take a leap like this

Dude, we got KP, who's arguably going to be equivalent long-term to Towns. I'd rather have KAT, but I am in no way disappointed with our pick.

Then they would trade down for him. You don't draft someone at #1 due to the scarcity of the position. And Boston would take the best player in the draft at #1 instead of filling a team need. Comon bro, you know this.

Crowder is very good, but if you can draft a potential star player you do so. Crowder is a great trade chip. Same for Isiah Thomas.
I'd be suspect to sign a midget type player to big money. The kid is good, I respect him, but little guys making max dollars is not something I'd want to decide on.
Thus, I'd draft a big guard, then trade Bradley.

I do... Boston is a very lucky franchise. Whatever they do always turns out right

I LOVE KP and only see him getting better each year, but I do sometimes pine for having drafted KAT. Who knows though, we coulda gotten hosed just as easily and gotten the 2-3 pick anyways and gotten russel or Okafor, who I wanted . So I'm pretty happy how things ended up. I'm excited to see what KP takes from another offseason of training and his plans to spend some time working out with Dirk.

If we can't get in the top 3 for Ball or Fultz I really like Frank. I think he's got star quality all over. An 18 YO in Europe is like a NCAA junior. They come in ready. Great 3 PT shooter, facilitator, top tier defender, amazing length. I honestly feel like he's a can't miss.

This should keep us occupied till the Lottery

I posted this on the draft thread, but hopefully it gives a clearer picture of how things stand:

Updated tank standings:

3) Suns 22-46
magic, nets, blazers, mavs, kings

4) Magic 24-45
Suns, Sixers, Nets x 2

5) Sixers 24-43
Mavs, Magic, nets x2, Knicks

6) Knicks 27-42
Blazers, Sixers

7) Kings 27-41
Pelicans, Twolves, Mavs, Lakers, suns

8) Pelicans 27-41
Twolves, Mavs, Kings, lakers, Blazers

9) Twolves 28-39
Pelicans, Lakers x3, Kings, Blazers x 2

10) Mavs 29-38
Sixers, nets, Pelicans, Nets, kings

11) Blazers 30-37
Knicks, Twolves x3, Lakers, Suns x2, pelicans

Magic and sixers play each other, so one will have to go up to 25 wins. Also they both play the nets twice. So there's a chance we pull even with one of them. We have the better chance with the sixers because we also play them- so rout for sixers to win vs the magic

Twolves should hopefully continue to recede as a tank thread (easy schedule and committed to winning and playing much better), as should Mavs and Blazers. Kings and Pelicans play each other so one of them has to add on a win.

I really wish we'd lost those two games to the magic earlier this month. Golden tank opportunity.

I think we can stay ahead of the kings and Pelicans, but not sure we can catch the Sixers - they've shut down everyone. Magic we might be able to catch if they can beat the Sixers and Nets and maybe Suns.
