He's been hurt all year and now this is confirmed. Sucks but he's here for a reason more than just his on the court time.

As far as losing someone for the year, he is probably the least concerning to lose. It confirms his body is going to struggle to hold up for a full NBA season, but he is here for more than his basketball ability. He will be useful on the bench in the ears of KP and Willy. That has value. I know his contract was a failure, but anyone who knows basketball knows he still has value here, especially when our top 2 young players are big men who can learn a lot from him.

Good- he can heal and spend the offseason losing weight and getting in game shape- needs some of his speed back. Meanwhile we will now have more minutes for Willy, Plumlee and KOQ. With Jennings gone we are clearly giving the signal that it is officially tanking time!

Also Knicks must be giving this and the Jennings info to Woj to mend fences- he tend to punish those teams that don't give him info, and he was pretty hostile during our negotiations before the deadline.

Had we heard anything about a knee issue with him...thought other parts of his body were hurting.

I still have some hope for him. Needs to lose 15-20 pounds, IMO.

One thing you know about him is that he has the heart of a warrior...I am going on the assumption that he will come back much better next year.

Still...given what we see with Willy, and knowing what we had with Lopez, the picking up Rose and Noah in the off-season has not turned out too well.

Yeah...forgot about Plumlee. Good time to see what he can offer the team on a consistent basis.

Unfortunate for Noah but great news for the younger bigs. The NBA is definitely a survival of the fittest environment. If you're lame in anyway it will get exposed. The schedule is grueling and healthy athletic players will force you to play at their level. This just makes it clear Noah should come off the bench for the remainder of his career.

this is good news... Noah was absolutely worthless this year. Our best hope is for Willy to progress, and for Noah to rehab his value next season

The Bulls are doing so great. They have to laugh to keep from crying

I liked lopez but I won't lose any sleep over him- Bulls fans aren't enamoured with him and they couldn't get a first for him, so he's not that highly regarded. He was slow and the very definition of average. Nice to have him but he's not a game changer, really.

RoLo is more productive for less money/cap space. Hence, a lot better to have than Noah.

The RoLo for Noah/Rose swap was a gamble that could have made us into a superteam, but instead blew up in our faces. Kinda like trading the Noah pick for Eddie Curry in the hope that he'd evolve into Shaq 2.0 rather than succumb to weight problems or a heart ailment. Sometimes you have to roll the dice, which means that sometimes you lose.

Writers laugh at Noah's contract and say it's the worst deal, but I think Mosgov's is worse. 7pts 5rebs, no intangibles, and on the books for $16mil, $16mil, $16mil and $16mil

Also Holford is being paid the max, is aged 30 and is averaging 14pts 6.6rebs with a .45 FG- salary, $26mil, $27mil, $28mil, $30mil

Noah played well this year in limited spurts. If he can come back reasonably healthy and can give us 25mpg and 65 games next 3 years this will end up being a good signing. He needs to be around enough to make an impact. If he is he will be.

Lopez's play has been a little disappointing this year. I don't think anyone would rather owe Noah $55 mil after this season than owe Lopez $28 mil, though.

Might say if he had any effect on Willy, well worth the money.

For those capologists out there, If we buy him out, can it be discounted and spread out? Or is it full amount?
If he sits for 12 months, is there cap relief for a guy who can't return?
