SURREAL Derrick Rose Saga still has more Questions than Answers.

Frank Isola from the daily news reports D Rose left because of a "family issue" with his mother but the crisis may have gone deeper than that.

"Rose according to two independent sources who spoke to daily news on the condition of anonymity, was such an emotional wreck Monday afternoon that his only solution was to abruptly leave the knicks to be with his mother and his son.

Roses's state of mind was such that for a brief time he talked about walking away from basketball 🏀 for an extended period of time to clear his mind. That seems hard to believe since Rose 🌹 is only 28 years old and could land a lucrative free agent contract this summer, something he talked about two years ago."

Frank Isola's only independent sources are the two elderly hookers, he tags once a week, from Hoboken.

Brief? Was that the couple hours no one could get in touch with him except the "Sources"?

This city is great. Scumbag reporters and lots that are salivating at the chance to belief in famous peoples miserly to cover up their insignificant lives. Go Frank!

Obviously, he handled it poorly but WTF happened? Anyone know? Did it come out yet? Is his mom sick?

that's what's so maddening about this. had he just gotten permission to be absent he wouldn't have to answer any questions. now, he's acting like he's entitled to privacy. I can think of 25 million reasons why he's got to answer why he missed a *home* game

why is this so hard to believe? He may have a tough situation. He's away from his child most of the time and has a tough custody situation no? Rose could retire, live a wonderful lifestyle and coach kids or something the rest of his life while he takes care of his family and raises his boy. Is that so unimaginable? I guess because he's a rich pro athlete he's devoid of feelings and only cares about winning titles right? People walk away from situations at times whether its jobs, marriages, whatever

So all signs point towards a mental health issue if I am not mistaken, maybe caused by something that happened at home. Is the right move to announce such a thing to the world?

Very tricky area.

Why is it that Rose keeps getting the benefit of the doubt? He keeps putting himself in ****ty situations, not the fan base. Also, how can any of us empathize with him when none of us knows what the deal is

I hadn't considered that angle but it's (informed) speculation. Generally speaking I think pretending like nothing happened is a poor way to handle things. Obviously if something crazy was going on I'd be more likely to feel for him. But right now I'm just pissed that our **** team is going to have to make up answers to the questions they are all going to be asked until Rose is no longer off the roster. He put himself in this position and he made this situation public

Papabear Says

I think Rose read the paper and social media news about him and the Knicks. This team right now stink. They just can't play. We in New York Knicks put our players on a pedestal and they can do no wrong. Maybe its time to clean house and start from scratch and build first a defensive team.

Did you miss the part about......Why would you "announce a personal thing to the world". Don't know if you know this, but no player has a responsibility to the fans over that of to his family. Specially the ones that would crucify a guy over personal issues, without knowing the whole truth. And no, you don't have the right to know everything that's going on. Love the guys that feel their is something owed to them as fans. As if they are making these huge monetary contribution to the team.

All the clips I heard made it sound like he said a whole lot about a whole lot of nothing. So yeah I guess they "talked about it" but what were they really talking about? Just that it was an unexcused absence and they wished that he rang first.

Pretty judgmental for someone who doesn't have any facts about what took place. Would you rather him do what a ton of others do and turn to drugs or alcohol? There are worse things you can do when you're in a bad way than go to "mommy" as you put it.

I wouldn't. And no, I didn't miss that part, just like I hadn't missed the part where you come off like... hmmm... what's the right word... which word do you think I should use to describe you and your attitude... why are you so desperate to pick a fight... another internet tough guy getting added to the blocked list

But back to the topic, he's been nothing but a distraction since before he even suited up for the team

yeah, let's deter from what actually happened. the guy left the team without telling anyone, didn't answer phone calls from his employer, and most importantly, missed a game when the team needed him most. but yeah, let's be happy he didn't turn to drugs or alcohol and focus on me saying he went crying to "mommy," even though that's what he did.

I think melo, rose, KP need a closed door meeting with Jeff and Phil ... so far it's been the melo show for the knicks. And like the past three years it is wearing on the other players. I hate to say this but rose has been on playoff teams his whole career he has been the leader of all those playoff teams even when injured.

Is rose a perfect human no far from one, but maybe it's time to let him run the show like he has in Chicago. Instead of running 70% of the plays for melo like we do 20 for KP 10 split to everyone else. Let's give rose the keys and here are the reasons why.

He's clearly the most talented player on the roster, as well as the most athletic, on top of that when rose is motoring it will open up the floor for everyone else.

Rose will not smile and laugh like melo always has when he gets beat. Rose takes it personal and holds teammates accountable. He respects the game. Melo respects melo.

Melo doesn't open the floor as well as rose he relies on the defense double teaming him to pass.and even then he shots 70% of the time.

Plus with how this team is going what do we have to lose . Melo gets mad cause he's not getting the fame or being the go to guy and waves his no trade clause... that might be the best thing that ever happens in the melo era.
