that's what's so maddening about this. had he just gotten permission to be absent he wouldn't have to answer any questions. now, he's acting like he's entitled to privacy. I can think of 25 million reasons why he's got to answer why he missed a *home* game
So all signs point towards a mental health issue if I am not mistaken, maybe caused by something that happened at home. Is the right move to announce such a thing to the world?
Very tricky area.
I hadn't considered that angle but it's (informed) speculation. Generally speaking I think pretending like nothing happened is a poor way to handle thinsg. Obviously if something crazy was going on I'd be more likely to feel for him. But right now I'm just pissed that our **** team is going to have to make up answers to the questions they are all going to be asked until Rose is no longer off the roster. He put himself in this position and he made this situation public
Has that really happened? Jeff has made statements, Rose talked to the press. What exactly are you looking for?
I think melo, rose, KP need a closed door meeting with Jeff and Phil ... so far it's been the melo show for the knicks. And like the past three years it is wearing on the other players. I hate to say this but rose has been on playoff teams his whole career he has been the leader of all those playoff teams even when injured.
Is rose a perfect human no far from one, but maybe it's time to let him run the show like he has in Chicago. Instead of running 70% of the plays for melo like we do 20 for KP 10 split to everyone else. Let's give rose the keys and here are the reasons why.
He's clearly the most talented player on the roster, as well as the most athletic, on top of that when rose is motoring it will open up the floor for everyone else.
Rose will not smile and laugh like melo always has when he gets beat. Rose takes it personal and holds teammates accountable. He respects the game. Melo respects melo.
Melo doesn't open the floor as well as rose he relies on the defense double teaming him to pass.and even then he shots 70% of the time.
Plus with how this team is going what do we have to lose . Melo gets mad cause he's not getting the fame or being the go to guy and waves his no trade clause... that might be the best thing that ever happens in the melo era.
