There is 0% chance this Knicks team goes to the play offs. Absolutely woeful at both ends of the court especially the D. No consistency, no discipline, no idea what they are doing. We need to make trades and get rid of the selfish individuals like Anthony and Rose. We are going nowhere and ruining our eager young players with these guys as the alleged 'leaders'. Enough is enough.

Hopefully our draft pick will match that

technically, more like 13th in the league- which gets us a very back of lottery pick in all likelihood.

I mean, WTF? We started the season god awful- like Philly the way we were getting blown out. Then, we seemed to right the ship, played better, got to above 500.

And now we're playing like we were at the start of the season - god awful.

I don't think anyone should be fired- but someone needs to be held accountable? Phil should go before the press and own this - take some pressure off the players - and yet challenge them:

"I thought the group we had assembled in the off season had the talent to compete. Obviously, we were wrong, but we're still positioned to build for the future, and there are some great talents on this team that will be here for that future."

Briggs is basically right. I might say more like bottom 8. The team has played much worse than its record. They just had a lucky number of close wins early in the season.

No doubt the play on the court reflects problems. I did not see the Rose thing as being that problematic. Rose is has been saying the right things so its hard to gauge.

As for Melo bailing and getting ejected, thats lame. He needed to show his leadership and maturity. He did. Not a good letter grade.
As for Hornacek and his PG's, there are questions.

Wow, a thread with my name on it! And I missed it! Thanks BRIGGS!
Love your math, by the way. Best I can tell, there's still 11 teams we're better than, even after all this losing!

But at least, Denver's still better than we are! YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!! Maybe that's another thread, BRIGGS?

Sure as hell hope we don't make the playoffs, that would be just horrendous for post traffic on the UK!

That's all you got? You're a hardcore defender of the organization and you mock people who criticize it. And that's all you got? We're better than 11 teams? I hope you're not a defense attorney!

Going into such a loaded draft this off-season, there's reason to be psyched that we are a bottom 5 team. Just sayin...

BRIGGS, I assume you didn't think Rose+Noah+Lee would mark our ascent into contention. I think we've all pretty much agreed that Melo's window and KP's are not aligned. So we should be planning for the future once this team has demonstrated it is not viable. We're there now. Let's play our yoots, lose some games, and take the next step this summer.

i don't agree that they're a bottom five team but they're pretty damn close

I'll say they're one of the five most disappointing teams though... I thought they were a super team

Thanks, I mock people who think 5 is the same as 11. I'm a hardcore defender of facts. That usually works in the court system, Perry Mason.

By the way, is "That's all you got?" all you got?

I don't want the Knicks to make the playoffs but they are going to make it. Just a gut feeling I think now that Melo is staying Jeff can go all out and hold Melo accountable. Same with Rose once he went AWOL all bets are off. Jeff can now get these chumps into shape or ride the pine.

You may have a point, with Rose at least. Jeff obviously has no issues benching him, and Rose is only hurting his own immediate future by not being accountable. Melo, not so much.

And hopefully showing he's more valuable right now (on both ends of the court) than Baker.

A good coach realizes what he has and he has come to the conclusion that Melo can be good at time but most often he is just average or slightly below average. A lot of Melo is based on that he shoots a lot. Jeff realizes that he can't see Melo as what the contract dictates but what the player is. Jeff has the right to say you don't give effort on defense sit down, you don't have the hot hand sit down, your breaking plays sit down. That goes for everyone on the team.

Melo is the reason we've won more than half of the games we've won, mr. over generalization. He's still the best player we have not wearing a suit right now, which, I guess, supports your point anyway, given our record.

And Melo didn't have the hot hand last night and Jeff still didn't sit him down in the 4th quarter. So there! Money talks and unicorn bull**** walks

But from your posts to God's control of the earth regarding Rose. Nice call.

At least Melo didn't let his off night affect his defense props to him for that. One more thing finally you called him a good player kind of knocked him off his superstar pedestal. Your coming around. Just be glad he stopped shooting at 15 shots again props to Melo for know he was off.

Second of a back to back tonight does Melo have the gas to get through let's hope so.

Melo of Melo fans dream show up for 12 min and set another scoring record....
This what man does - making buckets... and then the game is lost...
Kind of microcosm of his NBA personality.
It was entertaining for sure.
