If I recall correctly, Noah played a significant role in recruiting Courtney Lee. Seems like we won't be blessed with an amnesty, but keep all factors in mind when you look at the $$$.

This is true. If the Knicks didn't get Noah, they could have still got Lee, although they would have had to offer him more money most likely. He got an offer from Philly if i remember correctly which was more than what he signed in NY. I'm sure without Noah recruiting him, we would have had to offer him in the 15 mil per year instead of 12 for him to consider. All speculation though.

in a way....the trade was:

RoPez and Grant for Noah, Rose, Holiday and CLee.
Noah don't come without Rose.

Im holding out hope and rooting for Noah to get healthy and perform.
IM a fan, what else is there to do? Get angry and lay blame?

IMO, R.Perez was ALMOST has bad as Noah offensively so, thats a wash in my eyes. Rose was a much needed upgrade and I'm loving Holiday the more I see him. Great off the bench player.

Having Wade would have been great but that wouldn't have fixed our PG problem.

Are you talking about prime Noah and 2016 Noah? Lopez is much better offensively than the current version of Noah, at least so far.

I think there is still hope for Noah to be a good player for years if he remodels his game like Camby did- Camby had a few really rough injury years and then became a really useful player with less minutes -- and about 5 really healthy years for the nuggets -- playing 30+ minutes That's the hope at least....

i was so frickin pissed when we traded Camby I loved him. If Noah could just give us 20 productive minutes a night I would be thrilled. He is a huge waste of money though. He is really a 12 million dollar player in this cap structure. I would love to get that money back and give it to an athletic swing player

I like Noah just fine. But I will be very curious to see if there's a new amnesty clause in the new CBA. There's been one in the last two CBAs, I believe.

Lee is a nice player, but we have a 30+ year guard a 5 year deal. Let's not act like it offsets a guy making 19 and 20MM in the final two years of his deal. Noah will likely not be playing or averaging above 5pts and 5rbs.

Noah might be overpaid but KP, Holiday, Willy, Kuz, Baker, O'Quinn and even Jennings are all underpaid so it more than evens out.

CLee has a 4yr deal.

And let's not discount how important Noah was in helping Rose, who had never played outside his home town in Chicago and is by all accounts a quiet and sensitive dude, adapt to NY and feel comfortable here. It's pretty obvious Rose feels pretty comfortable here pretty fast.

No way around it we got jobbed on Noah. All of this rah rah bench stuff. Jab all McGee looked 5 x better. He just did. Noah can look ok at times and other he looks like one of the old Knicks big bench guys they used. He's the new herb williams although herb could shoot and made 17 less. With a starting line up of Noah kp and melo were to slow against some of these teams and it's not going to get Better
