So every active or retired player pg is ignorant. What's your point exactly (?)
I never called anyone ignorant for criticizing the triangle, im just saying it's really not news that pg's don't like the triangle because it doesn't cater to the position. How many pg's have we heard say some negative sht about the triangle..they just don't like it
ball-dominant, high usage, non-orchestrating, chucking point guards don't like system basketball. it cramps their "creativity." that's what he is saying. it's a team game, a five-man game.
he's ignorant and smug. he's the type of guy who will get shut down and embarrassed in the playoffs, just like what happened to rose in his mvp season when lebron "cut off the head of the snake."
The modern day pg, scoring, P&R, breaking down defenses, coming off triple screens, hoisting up 14 to 20 shots per game, and usually the best player on the team.
So if you give me a team that runs the triangle with that type of (AAU/1 yr of college) player, I'll love to see it.. There are 20 options in the triangle, that's too much to think about for any low IQ, high usage PG..
That's why phil is throwing his hands up like "FCK IT" run what you want
