The simple ability to break down your man off the dribble and get into the paint. Obviously Rose brings that as well. Jennings looks great changing directions and speeds with ball, nice moves in traffic... could be a very interesting player for us next year. "winning is more fun... then fun is fun" -Thibs

If memory serves he was launching to the hoop pretty much from half court. You do that when know one is home. I wouldn't put too much stock in him beating his (Drew League) defender. As I say, Jennings can get to the hole in the NBA, the video doesn't nothing to dispel or corroborate that. |

Knickoftime wrote:totally disagree... Jennings has always been a shifty elusive guy and exceptionally quick (issues are with his shot selection, not his quickness). However the reason he signed for a 1 year $5mm with the Knicks is the market clearly devalued him no doubt based on injury. I am not worried about seeing Jennings vs. NBA players, I want to see how he is moving. I saw at least 4-5 moves from him that guys who don't trust their legs simply don't make.fishmike wrote:Knickoftime wrote:did you watch the video?fishmike wrote:http://dailyknicks.com/2016/07/20/knicks-video-brandon-jennings-shows-out-at-drew-league/ Watch it again.. does Jennings look like a guy coming off an injury? It isn't that guys are better shooters. They game is just played at a quicker, faster, bigger, higher, more powerful level. All things are relative. The cuts, quickness, lateral movement it takes to beat a defender in the NBA is just a different level than it is playing against what were maybe some decent high school and college players. I don't take anything from it, no. Do that at NBA speed, past NBA strength, quickness closing ability, then you got something. And that is in no way skepticism Jennings can do it. I just don't take anything from this. |

At the same time, he was in the league last year and supposedly his quickness had fallen. Another year removed helps. Looking good but get a better gauge when comp and intensity is greater |

He was injured 2 yrs ago. He came back last year and played the last 1/2 of the year. Same as Rose. They showed they are over the injuries and now are getting back to their old selves. fishmike

Ug I hate this. The idea of Towns is great until you see what a pussy he is. Jules is a dog. DD was a flamethrower locked up cheap for 3 more years.

It upsets the delicate balance of negativity that fuels the site. Go find a story showing how Woodson hated being here, or why Phil's secretly feeding some of his salary to the Lakers, or how Melo's Olympic voice is going to be a detriment to KP's development, or.... |

Not like he hurt himself last year ,coming back this year and we have no idea what we are getting. He has already played and now has had the offseason to even get stronger and healthier. fishmike
