Can't wait to see this kid in the Garden. Really wished we'd drafted him back in the day.

Yeah he was HURT by that draft snub. It was another in a long litany of draft misses by the Knicks. Thank goodness for KP!!! I hope he finds success here and helps this team win big this year. He needs to bring that motivation he had against us to the Garden every game night.

Wow... We actually have Knicks fans on the team. We actually have people that want to play for the Knicks and for New York.

What a concept!

Love it!

Phil seems to have gone out of his way to get guys that WANT to be here. Phil and Mills mentioned that before Free Agency and they weren't messing around. This is a motivated roster up an down. On top of that many of these guys are friends or have played together.

I really think so.

I think we might be talking about signing him long-term around this time next year.

This kid gonna make me cry man. I'm so happy for him that he's living his dreams. He truly wanted to be a Knick. He is a kid from Compton California. He didn't want to be a Laker.... he wanted to be a Knick. I support this dude 100%. Any guy from another place that loves new York, knows the history and legit wants to be here? That's my guy. Respect

great signing though I don't like the "score 55 at the garden line" ... he needs to look to be a facilitator and take better shots.

If he stays healthy this was a steal though its only a one year so that may cost us.

so here is what phil is thinking ....

I understand your point but just remember that Jennings wasn't brought in here to turn into John Stockton. He's here as a scoring guard. Phil wants him to be Sixth Man of the Year. It's different role than you may be envisioning.

I don't want to see a jamal crawford version of Jennings, he has much much more potential than that.

I guess I have higher hopes for him than you do

To be fair, he got the 55 as a rookie, right? I think the context is how he wishes he had been drafted a Knick so the 55 could have been for NYC not Wisconsin... wistfulness over the time lost that was wasted on Jordan Hill, haha...

I love the reverence for the laundry. That's what you want to see!

Yeah ... I get it and it wasn't terrible but jennings always had the chucking issue. Want him to play smarter less selfish basketball.

No doubt. Maybe now he has as much respect for the name on front he will be less about the name on the back!

It's not about hopes. I'm just telling you that he's going to be considered a Primary scoring option off the bench. Sure he's got to move the ball like any guard should, but he's going to have to bring scoring for this team off the bench as well as pace to take some of the pressure off the bench players. Hornacek is going to have to show him how he wants him to play but we do know that JH has had his guards play a very aggressive style of ball.

To Jennings credit when he first got to Detroit it seemed like he was becoming a better passer but unfortunately he was still chucking and shooting horribly. I could live with him being around 52% in True shooting percent if he averaged around 8+ ast per 36 a game. I would like better efficiency but for $5m I could live with that.
