Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

Interesting - Phil compares GSW getting Durant to Lakers getting Gary Payton and Karl Malone in 2004 and also the Lakers getting Wilt Chamberlain to add to Jerry West and Elgin Baylor. Points out it doesn't make the Warriors unbeatable, but they will be a team to watch.

Another interesting tidbit - Mills said Lance Thomas called him early morning July 4th and said he had other offers, but didn't want to talk to other teams, liked what the Knicks were doing and wanted to be a part of it. He said "find a way to bring me back. I want to be there."

whoa... I'm glad I was sitting down... when have FAs used the Knicks for anything other than (1) pumping up their contract with another team or (2) getting ridiculously overpaid in their 30s here. I know some of you will say that happened this offseason, but what never happens is someone calls up and says "I'll take a discount to play here because I want to play here"

This is a very good mix of talent. The players all have pride and don't need anyone to beg them to give Max Effort. The players are pretty much all highly motivated to be their best next season. All you can do is take a chance on talent. There are no guarantees EVER. I like this roster and it's without a doubt the best one we've had in a long time.

No one can say that this wasn't a well thought out group in terms of ability and how they fit with each other and Hornacek's vision for the team. This was a total Front Office team effort. U.S. and Foreign Scouts as well as Mills, Warkentien and Hornacek came together and tried to put a team together that can compete for a Title. That's all you can ask.
