With the assist. Honestly rather have Courtney Lee, and he sucks as well.

Do you like anyone? Seems like you will never be happy unless we go tank and rebuild with a bunch of rookies.

Yes. I like Russell Westbrook, Greek Freak, and Gordon Hayward and whatever stud from Kentucky, Duke, or Kansas we could've landed if we piecemealed this year.

Doesn't look like Phil's going in that direction.

Lee doesn't suck. He is a good player and would be solid as a starter with Rose, Melo, Porzingis and Noah. Good shooter, unselfish.

If and its a big if Rose and Gordon that could be a dynamic backcourt also I don't like any of the other 2 guard free agents so why sign a cortney Lee for multi year contract when Gordon could be had for 1 year deal .. Like Rose if it works great if not we have lots of $$ next year to redo the backcourt.

Rose and Gordon were aau teammates and formed one of the greatest backcourts in aau history . So the players coming in already have chemistry

With the Knicks limited to not going over the cap this year (Galloway and Thomas won't do that much over-the-cap damage) and Rose expiring, Westbrook, Antetokounmpo, and Hayward will all be on the table.

I would bet that you would be the 1st one bytching about how bad the Knicks are and what is Phil doing with no plan after 3 years!!! Hoping on the draft year after year is not really a plan. If it comes naturally and you have your picks GREAT, but Phil didn't have all of his picks. You can't just NOT TRY to win. NYK fans are so full of crap cuz when we don't do anything people complain. This team is getting better with these moves even with the risk of injury. IMO this team will win games and possibly go on a deep playoff run.

None of those guys are coming if we just suck. Look at lakers this year As exhibit A and they have some of the rookies you're talking about

You could also look at philly or minny. In fact I'm curious if it ever worked

If the Knicks continue on their current route and don't resign Rose, they'll only be able to afford 1 Max contract instead of 2($60m), and still be stuck with Noah and Gordon/Lee/Random mediocre shooting guard for a few more years.

I would prefer Lee, who is more durable, playoff tested, and a tough defender. Not spectacular, but he is supposedly a character guy, and we don't need spectacular stuff from our SG with the team we'll put on the floor- only consistency.

If you could tell me that Gordon would average 70+ GMs/yr over his career as a Knick, I would probably take a chance on him, but he's not even come close to this over his career.

Rose might be emerging as the shadow GM of the Knicks. If everyone stays healthy...we are in great shape, if not, hold onto those #1s.

If we were to pick up Gordon I would also think this means Rose will get another contract from the Knicks after next season.

They above is going to be inaccurate we've gone over this several times. They will not keep this structure. I find it ironic that for critisms you make on many players that you are a Hayward fan. I like him a lot as a fan but I'don't imagine he'did get killed here as he is quiet limited as a player.

It's a major pipe dream to get 2 max free agents. Better off showing them you have a team in place and add 1 guy. Haven't we learned anything from 2010? Players don't want to join forces on an empty team. Better off taking a chance with Melo, KP, Noah, and your 'mediocre' SG staying healthy and playing well and making the playoffs and plugging in a max PG from there. If not, hopefully Rose shows enough to resign. It's about taking chances. You will never be happy with anything the Knicks do that is realistic, we understand that, but it is what it is. There are plenty of teams who like to rebuild the other way that could be enjoyable for you to follow.

In other words, you want to go all-in and essentially forgo 2015-2016 in an effort to sign 2 of the only 3 backcourt players you apparently like in the entirety of the NBA.

And if two or even all three say no, then what?

Honestly, this whole 2016 free agency class sucks balls except for the very top. Rather piecemeal this year with cheap flexible contract scraps like Randy Foye or Gerald Henderson or Gerald Green and players of this caliber than get stuck with "name" players like Noah and Gordon who will both be in a 3 piece suit half the time for multiple years.

Should've had eyes down the road for 2017 instead of this suck ass class.

Courtney Lee fits perfectly, gives us defense AND doesn't require many shots. Gordon (in addition to Rose and Melo) will greatly detract the number of shots KP gets, even if you forget about all the injuries.
