Say the positives
You got KP,
Next yr. And years following Knicks got draft picks

You have free agent periods from 2016 and thereafter

For few whom, consider it positive C.Anthony may not
Be here 1-2 years or sooner.

Also a new or current coach will be in place.

Considering success of the good nba teams
And how those organizations built them to
Compete and get good,

What type of team are Knicks based on blueprint
Of discussions are we going to see & why?

Is the blue print going to mimic other successful
Nba franchises somewhat? Or something else?

I see a blonde Latvian god rein supreme upon the land, an ageless Melo, and Pablo Prigioni collecting Social Security!
Phil will be here, and Sasha Vujacic will be the coach.......!

Nalod is happy because if we hired Luke Walton we'd have his douche bag father always chiming in with his endless diatribe about nothing.
Love Bill Walton the player. Can't stand Bill Walton the commentator.

Interesting.. Intriguing
Most of nba teams past 7 yrs
(Heat coach, Eric S., Hornets S.Clifford)
Been getting younger coaches hired with
,,,less time turning it around, hence teams
Get good quicker apparently.

Never heard of Sasha ..is it internal rumor?
Well Sasha..is young and fits coach needs,

Also youth talent nba guys whom are skilled
And some vets seem to respond to younger
Nba coaches more now than ever.

Coach choice is a N.Y. knick blue chip
Which N.Y. must at least hit a triple if
Not a homerun.

Coach choice is OUR draft pick 2016 this
Year , which can be key development point
To Kristaps P., growth as a star, then
Hopefully superstar.

We should only improve. KP is the big part of the equation. Getting franchise players is tough. He looks to be a top 10 player in a few years with health and proper development. That is the hardest, and most important part. It took the Knicks 3 years to build a playoff team around Ewing and 4 years to build that perennial 50+ win team. The team was generally compromised of role players who fit well around him. If we go that route, we will be a playoff team each year, but probably not a contender. If we find a way to land another star player while KP is in his prime, we will have that chance to win it all. But while some teams struggle to build a team without a star player, we at least have that player to build around. This team needs to be modeled from here on out to maximize and compliment his talents. Melo can be part of that, as a valuable scorer. But we need to build this team around KP the right way and we should be in business in a couple of years.

It's the same like take a 7 year kid and guess what his professional carrier will be like.
Team has no identity yet and not much of the roster.
Knicks are in transition from starpunch era with Melo the last dinosaur to the era of team ball with KP.
And the path is just begins so everything is hanging on the string.
Only time will tell.

Ideally you aim for where the Lakers are now. Get a couple more high lottery picks, maintain flexibility and then hopefully some of that works out.

Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

Hopefully a Deep playoff team! This is of course if we continue to develop the young talent and add to this team what is needed. This summer is very important and we should revisit this thread after Free Agency!

Health is also important. There should be more progress next season. If the process continues the team should be somewhere in the top 5 in the East.

In 2 years, Phil will be on his ranch popping peyote and viagra in Montana giving Jeannie Triangle offense clinics in retirement.

Rambis will be an assistant to Luke Walton, while still liking various pornstars anal videos on Twitter.

Fisher will still be black balled from the NBA for black balling so many teammates and players girlfriends and wives.

Melo will be long gone, hopefully to a destination where he can retire with dignity, and far far away from our favorite franchise.

KP will be on the verge of superstardom, knocking on the door of an All Star bid, and helping bringing our 2017 lottery pick get up to speed for the stretch run of their prime seasons 2018-2022.

No sasha rumors......Just sarcasim!
Have to say Spolestra's success had a lot to do with roster and the Simpatico with Riles. Big time trust between those two.
Steve Clifford been around a while and Hornets have a nice roster. I'd say the "turn around" was more to do with some awful roster moves by GOAT previously.
The young guys, like Brad Stevens needed a season to get his NBA experience. There is also precedence with giving them time to grow. Unfortunately it coincides with some bad rosters.

Viagra? Phil
thats funny
LOL

I'd like to believe in one thing I believe in

Kristaps P, always wanted to be here in 1st place being drafted amid the BOOs
and I was one of them & wrong about this kid.

DJ is very HUGE & Big on guys whom want to be in my town
Play on my team and I'd swear folks like talented KP whom really really wants to be here
& thrive is a treasure...

Some other stars (KP aint there yet) and NBA vets skilled
could care less about playing in NY Nor want any pressure of being on Big Apple
regardless if Team is Good or Bad (current team).

Knicks wasn't a bad team not too too long ago.

Thus my point is KP is a fixture,
everything Knick management need to do going forward is to Improve team with talent of course
BUT also make Kristaps P happy and get in players likewise whom the kid can thrive & learn from
thus develop into leader Or/and star..

Need to look at hungry young players and/Or nba vets who want to play for
Knickerbockers as priority regardless of $$salary, I want players in NY whom aint afraid of
bright lights & NBA media pressures.

Those players will likely thrive & improve team quickly.
How to find FA or nba'ers whom want city of NY & NYKs as their next job

Agreed
I hear you, true that being around long time helps coaches mentioned (Spoestra, Clifford) also these same coaches had some talent
Bosh,Wade (HEAT) .. Kemba,Al Jeff & Frank K.

In NY we got Kristaps P (exclude Carmelo star for this conversation, in case he's not in NY)
If Phil J, is to really be serious? about Kurt Rambis re-installed as NEXT Knick Coach

I'd tell ya what, Rambis BETTER use KP and realize he is just not an ordinary 1 of 12 guys roster.
The way Rambis used KP and mis-used KP is a question?

Thus we'd have to wait and see, Rambis I expect to be Knick Coach and will need to
Anchor his JOB On KP's success and use.
*just my opinion

Sorry
I dont have the feeling yet KP will be treated by Rambis as "The most talented Knick"
thus the old-school mentality 'Learn your lessons kid' even if it means sitting on bench
times KP need to be in game(s).

We'll see

Melo will still be here and will still be leading the team in scoring, but now will lead the team in FG% and offensive efficiency and Winshares.

KP will have shed any and all possibility of the fragile unicorn aura.

Rolo and KP will be the first co-winners of Defensive Player of the Year.

We will have two backcourt players who will both barely edge out Melo for the team lead in assists per game.

We will be watching Phil put this:

You mean reality juice, right? In no reality, realm, universe, multiverse will the Knicks win a championship while Phil Jackson and Melo are here with the Knicks the next 3 years.

Time to smell the coffee, jrodmc. It ain't happening anytime (5 to 10 years) soon unless we TANK for another stud this season.

In two years I want young talent, excluding Melo and RoLo, at all key rotational spots on the roster plus I want to begin expecting playoffs year after year. We get there and I'm happy
