I meant "hasn't" made his coaching choice

Probably because he knows he is going to stick with his BFF,

There are three days left before the deadline for season-ticket renewals, and the Knicks don’t have a coach because Phil Jackson is biding his time interviewing nobody. That’s not an easy decision for a fan to make — to spend thousands of dollars on tickets without a clear direction from the organization, or continue with expensive fandom out of loyalty and blind faith?

Dolan would lose at least 30% of his renewals if phil hires rambis to be the head coach. That sure as hell could be the reason.

Nice conspiracy theory but NYK fans will be going to watch KP and MELO. Not some coach on the sidelines. It just doesn't make sense to rush the decision when there are other coaches still working or that may come on the market like Vogel.

Because the off season hasn't even started yet.

Any reason Sacramento hasn't hired a coach yet? Indiana?

Also are we concerned with season ticket holders? Are we really talking about season ticket holders not renewing because Phil hasn't picked a coach?

I believe this is the first time that has ever come up on this forum. Guys want to talk more about the drama than anything having to do with basketball.

Sigh 😡 It's insane to me that some are acting like this is the worst the franchise has been when things are on the way up! We literally just watched our 1st Rd pick set records at 20 years old. How can the future not be brighter than its been the last 15 years???

People asked for a full rebuild and we got it. Now while we are rebuilding we gotta see fans crying about every minute of it.

I'm tired of it but I love the Knicks so much and this sickness will not allow me to stop posting here and other outlets.

Phil could care less about that, I think it's about mulling it over and making sure there aren't some better scenarios. I think he is open to signing Blatt or Vogel (if he becomes a free agent) but he needs to see if they would like to bring on his same assistants of the past (Shaw, Rambis).

I think it is very likely he brings in Shaw at some point as well. Shaw worked well with Vogel, and I could see some part of Phil being ok with Vogel/Rambis/Shaw all coaching together.

Don't think enough people realize how much of a competitor Jackson is. He hates losing. He is not in this to lose. He's in it to win, but will not make knee jerk short term moves to gain 5-8 wins ahead of what he feels is more important to the bigger picture.

For instance of the main reasons he trusts Rambis, Rambis got KP to stop hoisting up long jumpers, play soft, and just sit outside, which was something he was starting to do under Fisher towards the last 20 games of Fisher's run. Rambis got KP to get inside more, to fake the shot and drive more, and to not just sit outside on the 3 point line all the time. This is an area many would overlook, but a head coach being the right guy for KP's development is critical.

Why has phil not made his decision?

1. He forgot
2. He is too high
3. He is trying to get laid.
4. He is being opportune....Vogel might be available.
5. He doesn't even realize fans are agonizing over this.
6. He is doing a good job being thorough.
7. He knows OP has him figured out and will decide soon.

Is there any proof that phil is even remotely interested in Vogel, other than some news writer saying vogel is a phil fan..

There's no coach currently in the playoffs that phil is interested in. Usually Interim coaches get retained right after the season ends. Phil knows rambis like the back of his hand, they talk and hang out very often, why the hell would you have to interview him, that seems so retarded.

Would you interview your best friend for a job at your company on monday morning, after ya'll were together hanging all weekend, it would just be a formality.

Other teams are at least interviewing several candidates.

Actually it'd be a major shock if Phil picked ANYONE but Rambis. Those 2 are that close.

You ask for proof that Phil is interested in Vogel, then you babble about nonsense reports about Phil needing to interview Rambis. Yet you know Phil isn't interested in any of the playoff coaches.

Then you get mad when I throw the ignorant word around

I'm fine waiting on Vogel. I think it'll mean we miss out on Blatt, but whatever.

idk if phil is interested in Vogel, but we have heard that his circle is very small.

I also never heard vogel and triangle in the same sentence, and he's been coaching a while

I really don't understand why some are making a big deal of this and don't really care that he hasn't made a decision yet. He'll make his decision when he's ready to and maybe he's waiting for someone on a certain team that's still in the playoffs to talk to or maybe he's waiting on Vogel but either way the Garden will still sell out every home game no matter who's coaching the Knicks.

Why would you hear anything about Vogel from anyone involved with the Knicks when he's the head coach of the Pacers?? There hasn't been any rumors of the Pacers not bringing Vogel back until now so why would anyone be talking about him interviewing for another job??

Those pictures you posted? maybe a bit creepy to do such a thing? Just a little?

Funny, we learned after that he met with Blatt. But we react as if he didn't until he did.
Playoff coach's are successful, I doubt many are on the hot seat. If so, does that person even a candidate by Phils criteria?

But........

Phil with a guy whose losing his job:

Nuance is, "Phil might hire him as coach"?

Phil with a Princeton guy. Therefore he must be wanting to hire Blatt, who went to Princeton!

Frank vogel is from New Jersey. Princeton is in New Jersey, and both PHil and Frank are said to both like orange juice!!!!!!
