It's a fact because Lin will return to New York with a bigger salary and a starting position.

Charlotte will have to give Lin a reason to stay.

I'm sorry but "Lin, you can continue to be our back up point guard next season and keep doing what you're doing at 2.2 million." isn't going to fly. If Charlotte wants to insult Lin with a 2.2 million contract while they were giving Lamb far more and who were less than instrumental this season, then Lin has every reason to walk.

His 1 for 8 in game six was very valuable. His sitting on the bench during crunch time, very valuable. His 19 minutes in game 7, extremely valuable. But not more than his terrible outside shot, defense and tunnel vision with the ball. No thanks.
