Ken Berger of CBS Sports says he's planning on leaving and it says that he's a very reliable source so take that for whatever it's worth.

I thought this link was just gonna talk about M.Conley but it has other stuff in the article so i'll leave it and post another link as well.

What do you think he's worth?? And don't give some crazy low ball answer cause you know that it's the way of the NBA right now that any player with any kind of legit name will be getting over paid in some way. He's a legit point guard in the NBA and just because he doesn't score 30 points every night doesn't mean he's not a top PG. He's got a really good all around game.

I'd rather draft Denzel Valentine and sign Seth Curry for less than 1/2 the price. In Phil Jacksons 11 rings where did they allocate 20% of a cap towards 1 pg?

I think Batum and Gasol would be more effective in what we like to do than Conley.

Batum - 18$M
Gasol - 14$M

Assuming Afflalo and Williams opt out.

The Knicks will not be a part of driving up the market like tasks did last year. Plenty of players out there to take chances on rather than throw 20 mil on a middle of the pack starter.

I covet Mike Conley and I would love to see him here. But I agree we will have to overpay to get him. Not sure if it's worth it.

But I would like to see this team with a real PG. Melo has always played his best ball with a real PG

Not sure any of this matters if we're committed to the Triangle though.

probably would be a dumb idea to sign him to a huge deal, especially with injury concerns. I'd hate to see the knicks "take who they can get" like they did with Stoudemire. Even though that was pretty fun for a the first year.. and if he didn't get hurt against Boston who knows...

Actually, I'd sign him.

Its like an instinct response!

that was the old NBA. This is the new NBA. You need to apply the Brigg's inflation formula. $34mm-$40mm for Conley

maxing him out for 4 years isn't a bad thing at all, unless he's not healthy. If healthy he would provide 3 years of high quality play and he will stabilize our team. He will make guys like Grant, Wroten and Galloway better. Conley plays the right way. He really moves the needle just in wins, but culture and team building. If I am hell bent on spending the targets are 1) Derozan 2) Batum and 3) Conley

Well hellz yes it would, but Batum isn't leaving Charlotte but if he does i hope he comes to the Knicks. I'd be much more comfortable with us getting Batum or Derozan to play SG over getting Conley and having Grant and Wroten at PG.

I think everyone that's worried about over paying to get the bigger names need to wake up cause if we don't do it this year we'll have to do it next season because everyone is getting overpaid these days and you should of learned that from guys like D.Carroll and Shump and many others that were paid more than their worth.

I think a nice get this off season would be getting one of Batum or Derozan who will both need to be overpaid to get them and match whichever one we get with E.Turner. Turner can and does run the point for Boston some and he can play the 1/2 and 3 and he plays defense. Having both Batum and Turner who both can play the 3 when Melo slides to the 4 and KP slides to the 5.

I love that Briggs is ready to give Seth Curry, who played 12 good games for a losing team at the end of the season, $42M.

But he'd balk at giving Mike Conley, who has shut down Chris Paul and Steph Curry in the playoffs, and can actually run an offense, $84M.

Ookkkkkkaayyyyy.

Yeah it's pretty crazy. Free agency and draft time are my favorite time in each team sport but to have to hear about how the Knicks should draft Valentine and sign Curry to a ridiculous contract from Briggs many many more times makes me just wish it were over by now. I don't see any way for Phil to get a 1st round pick high enough to get Valentine if he can even get a 1st round pick and while i wouldn't mind signing S.Curry i would never sign him for the type of money Briggs is talking about and neither will any team in the NBA.

I'd give him 7-8 mm whatever the mle is that's 1/3 of what Conley will get I want other players which cost money. I don't want to spend 20-23 on one player
