Supposedly Phil is a big fan of E.Turner's game. I like Turner but definitely need to be careful with how much you pay this guy because he's very inconsistent and anyone that has been watching will notice that he's been playing much better since the all star break and has never played as consistent as he's been playing now and of course the biggest reason for this is because he's about to be a free agent so he's just getting his stats up. So again i like him and think he'd be a good fit with what we're doing but it's buyer beware for sure.

Not gonna lie--I've thought a lot about him lately, mainly as a replacement for Lance Thomas. Still not sold on Lance--he's had a nice year but I'm not convinced he can score or defend against real good players when the chips are down. I'd also like to get better offensive players in here--I feel strongly about having a few guys that can put the ball in the hole to win games--an increase in premium/bonafide offensive. The thing is -- I feel Turner would be an upgrade, but at what cost? He could be pricey, more expensive than LT.

A good alternative could be Solomon Hill. Liked him a lot coming out of Arizona--I just feel he hasn't gotten consistent enough mins. in the NBA to show what he can really do yet. I like Hill better than LT & Cleanthony Early and he actually could be a cost effective replacement for Derrick Williams too, if Williams chooses to opt out of his deal and go elsewhere (I'd actually like to team up Hill to go with Williams on that 2nd unit next yr if I could). He actually has a similar game to D-Will -- he can get out in transition, he puts it on the floor well with a little shake to him, goes strong to the rim/finishes well, & he's got a little jump shot to boot. He's more athletic than people think and very physical, which allows him at 6'7" 225 to post up a little & hit the offensive glass. No pushover on defense too. He's a 3 that I feel can hang with most 2Gs as well...This guy needs a legit chance to play somewhere--might wind up being a better all-around player than Turner for much less.

No thanks. He would've been perfect for the And1 tour where he could've crossed people over all game and tossed up bricks. I don't think i could watch him do his routine over the course of an 82 game season with the Knicks.

ET is a component to whatever situation he's in. If the team is good, he can be the same. If the team isn't so good, he'll blend in the same. Noit one of the guys I'd target, but at a cheap price I wouldn't complain. Similar to why I never complain about Lance Thomas.

SHOCKING!! lol

knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%

you both have a lot to learn about this game. no shame in that, unless fragile egos get in the way.

Evan Turner plays the way they want to see Derrick Williams play. Turner is tough and poised. He's like a Rick Fox or Luke Walton if you want to call a player from triangle past. I'm wit it but he wouldn't be a top priority.

You guys cry too much. It's obvious were going to try and upgrade the guards. No use crying over a player that's not even a free agent yet. Turner obviously loves Boston. Calm the heck down

he's a huge upgrade over afflalo, both by eye test and advanced stats. it's a no-brainer... unless you have no brains.

Has turner even cracked the .1 ws/48? He is a ball mover and good rebounder(of Late. He is a exception type guy at best.

he's a positive-sum player because he defends better than average-- something that afflalo doesn't, and he is a passer/playmkaker-- something that afflalo doesn't do. he is precisely the type of player the triangle requires so it come as no surprise that jackson is interested in him.

turner haters are also jackson haters. it's a simple equivalency test.

E.Turner will be a heck of a lot more cost than LT will for sure. LT isn't a starter and Turner is but i still like LT and think he's a valuable guy to have coming off the bench so i hope Phil keeps LT and i really don't think he's gonna cost all that much at all. E.Turner on the other hand will definitely cost us 2/3 times as much as LT will.

Yeah i remember we were talking a lot about Turner and Jeff Green on here and i think both would be good players to have but like i said in my original post it would be buyer beware with both but for the right price i think he would be good to have.
