Uh, Kristaps will be a much better overall player if he plays inside the paint/mid-range and in area vs just standing outside all the time. Fisher was allowing him to make the stretch 4 his niche and you know Phil Jackson didn't like that. I totally agree. The advanced statistics show that Porzingis is more effective in the paint, closer to the basket. They show he's very good when he's in a rebounding position (putbacks) on offense. They show he's very good at rolling to the basket. If he runs fast and posts up, the chances are he'll be defended by a 6'6 guy. He'll have an easy look at the basket. That doesn't mean he shouldn't shoot 3's or long jumpers. However he shouldn't just milk the screen/pop play, which is what he wants to do at times.
If there's one thing to trust about Rambis, it's how to work with bigs. He worked with a young Bynum, he worked with very young Kevin Love and he's worked with Pau Gasol as well. He knows what he's talking about here. Everyone's fallen in love with Golden State and forgotten that only Golden State has Golden State talent to play like that. If you maximize the talent you have you can win playing your way.
