He said it yesterday too.

He actually said he's trying but our players are under valued around the league. He's honest.

He did also say that he was trying. So he knows some guys need to be moved. That is a good thing. So expect some roster movement of some kind

There are other ways of adding talent, GOOD talent, that I fear he's overlooking.

Who do you fear he's overlooking?

Needs to take no-risk fliers on a few solid DL players that could help us. I've named several lately.

We don't have all that many players on the roster to trade.

Maybe DWill if he's not even gonna be in the rotation for Rambis.

Maybe Grant, though I'd hate to give up on him.

Maybe KOQ if Seraphin has won the backup job.

What else do we even have to trade? No one wants Afflalo or Jose. And I don't want to trade KP/Melo.

Maybe Rolo, though I would only want to trade him in a really good deal and I don't think Phil will want to move him.

He didn't say trades were unlikely he just lowered the expectations for the returns. MCW for Both our backup centers

I think once we get past the deadline Phil will bring in a player he is keeping his options open right now just in case.

Jose is so bad I would pull the trigger on the MCW, Monroe, and a pick for Rolo, Jose, and Seraphin if available
Thank God Fisher is no longer our coach, now let's get Calderon out of here:)

The only reason I would be ok with this would be the pick coming back. However that is 2 bad contracts for 1.

That trade is trading a dime, a penny, and a penny to get two nickels. Why help Milwaukee fix their terrible roster construction?

I think you're right--I think this has something to do with keeping the spot open but for the life of me, I don't understand it. In case of what, Phil?!? We need backcourt help!! We're losing games!!! In case of injury? To who, someone in the frontcourt? There's good depth there--Seraphin, KOQ who's out of the rotation, so is Lou Amundson. You could also cut Amundson and replace him with a Westchester big--an upgrade (Bachynski, Atkins), or another promising DL big...Go get some guard help. Much more important than keeping the roster spot open indefinitely in case of injury, in case we make a 1 for 2 trade and bring back an extra player, etc.. Deal with those situations if & when they occur. In the meantime, make use of the spot and go get a guard who can make plays and help us win games! In fact, open up a 2nd spot and go get me 2 guards!!

Perfect plan to give us what I think we need -- open spot goes to Russ Smith. Waive Sasha and replace him with a better caliber 2G (Elliot Williams, Terrico White, Sean Kilpatrick, Darington Hobson, etc.). There's your backcourt upgrade right there.. If an injury occurs in the frontcourt (3, 4, 5)--we either go with what we have or Lou Amundson gets cut and we bring in an upgrade at whatever position. Can't be afraid... He acts like he put this roster together and it must stay together at all costs. I mean come on---at what cost, Phil? Losing games?? If another GM inherited this roster tomorrow, a good 3-4 guys would be cut right on the spot in favor of better talent. I mean Early could be let go if need be. Why not? Better players have been waived...Why keep the dead weight around?

Phil would never let on if he had a trade on the table. Just gotta hope some team is also desperate for a change. If not I fully expect Phil to bring up a DL guard or take a look at a kid like Wroten.

You'd give up Rolo and a draft pick for two limited players??
