I could see them trading Kevin Love, I don't see Lebron leaving Cleveland. This is more about his brand and his legacy. They have pieces in Cleveland - they could use a better coach and a trade of Kevin Love. Or maybe just a coach who doesn't totally waste Kevin Love's pressence on offense.

Imagine Thibs in Cleveland?

They can upgrade their coach and/or trade Love for a better fit, but ultimately LeBron is just in Cleveland at the wrong time. They should have no problem in the eastern conference for at least a couple more years, but getting thru Golden State or San Antonio seems nearly impossible. They will have to have everything go their way to beat either of those teams in a series no matter what changes they make.

well ... maybe GM lebron should not have resigned all those stiffs and got better players.

Lebron isn't going anywhere. They don't have a lot of assets to trade and tweak the roster either. They are doomed to luxury tax and I couldn't be happier. Still they are ECF favorites and should make it to the finals. I don't see them imploding. I don't see a trophy in their near future either. They are kind of fooooked if it's championship or bust.

Bad loss or fans reaction to play GM and make changes. This is a team that went to the finals and lost 4-2, but nearly went up 3-0!!!

For some reason Mozgov is playing awful in his contract year and JR of course is JR.
Naturally we all know SAS and GSW are the best in the league, but its a long season.

I think I speculated on this years ago on another site. Might have looked at his head size, since I had not data on his shoe size growing.

Do folks really feel this is a possibility?

Also had back issues...right? This alone could account for a decline in his game...which is still pretty strong, though.

Last years vacation mid season in Tampa was a little questionable. He came back rejuvenated raising some speculation.

Thing is - Bron needs a pure scorer (Melo). He is best as a passing SF/PF.

Bron also needs what KP brings - intelligence, blocks, energy, stretch 4.

He needs a smart SG like AA. Not knuckleheads like Iman and JR.

He does NOT need a ball dominant PG like Kyrie, since Bron is the distributor.

Bron is always welcome here.

I just don't see him leaving Cleveland. Ever.

They are no lock to win the east, we've played them pretty tough, and their wins havent been a cake walk either. They have the pieces to win it all, but the mind set to that team is not good. The role players are talented but suspect, and love doesnt defend well at all.

I definitely wouldnt want melo and labron on the same team, thats not good for the NBA.

G Avery Bradley
G Aflallo
F Lebron
F Melo
F KP6

would be a good team, but it isn't going to happen

Tough to lose that game the way they did, but more significantly, it might have a psychological effect on them.

A team and its players need to believe that there is hope to reach the next level in their particular progression.

For a team like the Knicks, at this point we are looking at a .500 record and the playoffs, and I think the team and its fans believe there is potential for this during the present season.

The Cavs have their bar set at an NBA championship. The SAS loss was tough, but it was at the Spur's house...the GS massacre in the Cavs' building has to be a wake-up call for their team, though.

This is Lebron's team, for the most part...we all know that he had to give the OK for the recent contracts they gave to some...the same signings which have put them into cap trouble.

Is it coaching, team chemistry, or player limitations, or just match-up issues with GS which don't apply to the other teams they play?

Cavs are relatively healthy this year, but they clearly did not belong on the floor with GS. Their "bigs"- Varejao, Mosgov, Thompson, and Love, don't have the ability to punish GS in the post on the offensive end or defend well outside the paint, and James has never been a classic post-up guy.

I don't see them improving that much this year, and cap issues will hinder them in the future.

Still don't think that James is going to leave, though. I think the Cavs have given him what he wants, and he knows it. Coaching change...maybe, but James might have to stick it out at this point. Don't know who they could trade for...and guys like Irving and Love, who would have some value, have not exactly showed themselves to be great team players, which hurts their trade value, while Thompson has a pretty large contract for a guy who is small for a center...slow for a forward, and maybe not worth acquiring despite his rebounding and toughness.

James took a hit for the Miami move to be with Wade and Bosh, jumping ship now would hurt his legacy too much. I don't think there is a chance he comes to NY.

There is not a chance he ever leaves Cleveland. He is bleeding money from his owner out of spite for the way he handled the last departure. His legacy would be tarnished beyond repair after writing that letter to the city of Cleveland. They will most certainly make trades as the pieces don't really fit. He has been willing the team into contention. But, when you have bench guys making 16MM and 10MM respectively you're losing a lot of wiggle room to make the changes to alleviate the pressure on Lebron.

Steven A put some blame on Blatt for the Cavs loss...I think he was looking at the "Princeton offense" Blatt was a proponent of, and how it has not worked.

I guess Smith hasn't been told that Lebron is now serving as GM, superstar, and Head Coach, and offensive coordinator for the Cavs.

He should have came to NY after Miami. Knicks have the triangle and at this stage of his career he needs it to add years to his career. He's still a top talent but he looks like he's laboring nowadays and unhappy. The triangle would make the game so much more easy for him. He would have to be a guard for us though. We need him feeding melo and Kristaps and doing most of the ball handling. Basically Calderón role
