Briggs, I totally agree. I think the Knicks should move Seraphin. I don't know what was set up with his agent as he took less and signed for just a year but it seems like he would benefit from playing time somewhere else. He does seem like a good locker room guy but if the Knicks could get a second round pick or two for him it seems like that would be a smart move for all involved.

Jordan Bachynski (26 years old) is a professional basketball player for the Westchester Knicks of the NBA Development League.
Bachynski, a 7'2" center from Calgary, Alberta, played four years for the Arizona State Sun Devils in the United States. He made his mark as a defensive player, setting the Pacific-12 Conference record for career blocked shots. He led the NCAA Division I in blocks in his senior season of 2013–14. Bachynski is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and delayed his basketball career to serve a two-year Mormon mission. |

Really like that Phil has the D league team running same offense principles as NBA. This is the way to create more Lance Thomas/Galloway types. I know neither came through the D league, but you get talented undrafted players or borderline NBA players into your farm system for a year or two, teach them offense and if they show they can play a role then use them as your backups for DIRT cheap on your top team. It is how the NBA D league should be utilized, but not many are using it this way. Major props to Phil. I watched this Bachynski guy and he looks like someone that can replace Seraphin easily. I actually like Seraphin, but he is unlikely to be in the longterm plans. I also think Fredette can at some point earn a backup/3rd string spot on the Knicks as well. Heck, at least take Sasha's or Grant's spot in the rotation. Just saying, come trade deadline if there's a player available that we like and it costs us Calderon, Grant and Seraphin - having guys like Bachynski and Fredette will go along way. Heck, I'm no Jennings fan or believer, but I think SVG would do a swap of Calderon/Seraphin for Jennings, and you'd have Bachyniski and Fredette called up and it wouldn't be like they were newbies to the system.
For the amount of heat Phil has gotten, I truly love what he's doing for the Knicks from this perspective. |

This also provides a new dimension to NBA supply-and-demand -- which players (if they have any sense) ought to welcome. Let's say you're a player who's skill level is already in big supply in the NBA -- there are, say, 30 "jobs" available and 500 players like you who can do it. You're screwed. But now . . . consider that there are only 15 players who know the Triangle. Here's your chance to fill a niche (!) This is one of the human interest sides of Triangle Culture . . . |

He has improved a lot this year and is a decent athlete. He is a really good defender but in today's nba I'm not sure if he could stay on the floor. I think he should be taken seriously though.

it's never a bad thing to be 7'2" and a leftie. one wonders about his level of athleticism. also the video shows no instances of passing skills or post skills.
knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%
