Probably his best game all year. He was efficent from a offensive perspective and gave a pretty full effort on defense all game. Hopefully he plays like this more often because we will win more especially with KP having a great rookie year

I have said it all year long; once that dude gets his leg under him, watch out. He will go on a scoring rampage.

Thank God Fisher is no longer our coach, now let's get Calderon out of here:)

i hope so BUT its only one game so far. i still think KP is the biggest key even though he had his first awful game tonight

Carmelo is still a force to be reckoned with. Now that he is making a conscious effort to defend will further advance his opulence around the league. He needs his legs, and a much quicker group around him to spread the floor for him

It was more than just MELO ballin out. The lineup change and the players pushing the pace was huge. They didn't slow down to a predictable crawl and force it to RoLo every time down. They got easy buckets for a change. MELO was aggressive but also helping his teammates. He can do this most nights if he is focused.

To his credit, every time he is on the floor with the fast group, he thrives. He passes to the open man, and scores when necessary.

agreed there were a lot of players who came up big for us. Im just singling out melos great game because a few think im too hard on him or dislike him which is total bullcrap. Anyway it was a great win all around and stopped the losing streak

Melo is clearly the biggest key this season.....for our wins and long term impact on KP. Teaching him how to carry a team and be a non verbal leader through your efforts and words of encouragement.

KP did have a good game, take a look at highlights, there was no double team on Melo when KP was on, that helped a lot for Melo to keep scoring easy shots.

It was a good game but he cost the Knicks two games on this trip by not showing up and doing what he is suppose to do. This is what he is suppose to do on a regular basis. Utah there was a lack of effort, poor body language just a total lack of competitive fire. In Sacramento there was a lack of conviction to finish the job, he makes his free throws they win the game forget the last shot. If he gave the effort that he gave during this season the Knicks would be 5-7 games above 500.

Can Melo continue to give this type of effort on a daily basis remains to be seen. My gut says this was just a turn back the clock night that some players experience as their career declines towards the end.

Melo can't possibly be blamed for that Kings game. He kept the intensity when we were down and that inspired the team to play harder. He was the guy who was always trying to find open players as well as his own shot. He may not have shot it well but he definitely found other ways to possitively impact the game.

Great game by Melo and second unit. Biggest takeaways from his game tonight, to stay on topic:

Much better when in low post position.
Only bad shots tonight came when feeding post and ending up outside in last seconds of ahot clock.
Last two games more aggressive going to basket, maybe a sign of more leg strength.
Much more vocal in timeouts.

Hoping we can get KP and him to have consistent games together.

The 6 straight FT to seal the win was so huge, but more important, the blazers shot 28% from 3

I do blame him for that the kings loss. He shot 6-11 from the free throw line. If he is going to be the man and want the ball in his hand then he better hit his free throws. Yes he looked for the open man but he shot poorly from the floor and poorly from the line. This is the franchise player he has to be more consistent than what he gave you in the Kings game.

Enough excuses for Melo there is freaking standard that he has to adhere to, if he wants that status of being a superstar he has to have Portland game night in and night out. I watched that Kings game and it sucked.
