Hey guys been forever since i posted but had to say that KP6 has reignited my love for our Knicks for first time since we traded Gallinari I have heard so many comparisions for or boy KP6 but not the one comparision that i believe fits most.

We heard Dirk Gasol Garnet AD and many others since KP was drafted but way i see it is
Dirk never blocked 7 in a game as rookie
Gasol isnt a 3 point shooter
Garnet is good comparision but still not a 3 point shooter
Not Dirk Not Gasol Not AD nor anyone is was a close to this package at this age
other then Arvydas Sabonis

KP6 and Sabonis were both well over 7 feet
Both could shoot 3s
Both could post
Both blocked shots
Both could handle rock well for size
Both could rebound
Both made their team better Ultimate team players
Both have heart
and both are from former USSR

Sabonis was a rookie in NBA at 31 and had already filled out but at 20 years old he was still pretty skinny

Wish i knew how to post videos i would post Sabonis pre nba videos Cant help but see a lot of our boy
in his game...

Which is an amazing thing for us Arvydas was way ahead of his time and a Hall of Famer

KNICKS on the way UP!!!

Yea I think he has similarly to a young AS its sad AS was already past his prime with knee injuries by the time he made it to the NBA.. I don't know if KP will ever turn into a heavy weight like AS that was a lot of weight for those weak knees

KP should stay lean like David Robinson

KP is more fluid and jumps on his jump shot where sabots has a quicker set shot.
Im not saying sabonis is stiff, but KP moves smoother than his 7-3 frame would indicate. Sabonis had a great vision for passing from the low post which I don't know if KP will get.

KP has already shown flashes of passing REALLY well out of the post..

Hits the open man moving or stationary

Sabonis was very Fluid at 20 After Knee injuries he was much more methodical

It's hard to find a comparison. The kid might be a once in a lifetime talent. That's not saying he's going to be one of the best ever. Just at 7'3" at 19 years old.... I never seen anyone like him. If the kid ever actually turned it on???? It's just an exciting thought.

agreed he is a rare breed. He can rebound and block shots like a good big man but he can also move, shoot, and even pass like a guard.

In a nutshell, I'd say Savings was more skilled, especially as a passer, post player and dribbler, while KP is a better run jump athlete. I see some similarities, but I like the Garnett comparison a little bit better.

Agree. His game and body type is much more similar to Garnett. KP also seems to possess the warrior attitude that KG had but without the ahole attitude and chippiness. Hopefully KP personality remains the same with his successes

how about a little Ralph Sampson? Didn't see him much when he played, but I see a bit of similarity in terms of stature & little bit of their fluid movement?

I don't see sabonis other than being 7'3. Height aside, KG and Anthony Davis are closest to me. But obviously no comparison is great.

Sabonis was much more of a bruiser. Can only hope that KP becomes as confident in the post.

Really wish he had played here in his prime...We'll get to see his son, soon.

Hard to find a comp for KP at this point. The Dirk 2.0 idea makes little sense because Porzingis plays (and wants to do it) the kind of D that Dirk never plays, or could play.

Does some things you expect to see from a SG or SF...can be a perfect stretch 4, has the shot blocking ability of a 5, and some early signs of being a post-up player.

Still has a lot to learn, and his body will mature considerably. Just hard for me to figure out a perfect comparison. Just think of him as a hybrid in terms of style...or maybe look at him as a basketball "mutt."

I agree. I can't think of another like him.

Yeah...he's someone I've thought about for a comparison, too.

I think I brought it up a while ago and got shot down by some guys- maybe because it was at a time that we did not have a great idea of KP's full game.

One big thing to remember, and something great for the Knicks. Sampson was 23 when he stepped on an NBA court. Guys with Sampson/KP size usually take a little longer to develop, and Ralph was much more physically mature at his start in the league.

Not sure KP is 7'3" but a legit 7' 1" which ledas me to pose this comparision:

A 7' !" Kirilenko ?? AK47 was a hell of a playa when in prime and healthy

Hey man KP is 7'3 in shoes he's 20 wouldn't be surprised if he ends up being 7'4 or even 7'5 by the time he stops growing

Even hubie brown said last night he is TALL I mean he's clearly above 7 feet ..... Kid is 7'3 when you look at him next to whiteside he is clearly 2 inches or more taller then him and whiteside is listed at 7'1
Prozingas' best comparision is....
