Sort of surprised he's struggled this much in Atlanta. I actually thought he might make us regret trading him a little. I'm hoping he can figure it out..

But dang I still love that Jerian Grant trade.

I wasn't worried about trading him at all. I was FREAKIN ECSTATIC!!! I didn't foresee being able to flip THJ for a 1st rd pick and I was hoping we could get at least a late pick but getting Jerian was freakin awesome. We need what he brings so much. THJ seems like he is just missing something. He keeps saying that he's working hard and learning how to defend and play smart offense, but he just never seems to be able to put it all together on the court. I thought he'd be OK in ATL tho. He's nowhere close to being able to give them even a little of what DeMarre Carroll gave them. Phil did us a major favor getting out from under him and getting Jerian in the deal.

Wow. Hopefully he figures things out. Really glad the Knicks got Grant for him.

I was shocked we got a first round pick for him.

I started a thread last spring asking if anyone thought we could get a late first for Tim at the draft and people attacked me for being insane. I shoulda bookmarked that one!

But dang I still love that Jerian Grant trade.

The dude seems to have a low BASKETBALL IQ. He has no clue about what to do on defense, and is still trigger happy on offense. I am very happy with Grant.

Thank God Fisher is no longer our coach, now let's get Calderon out of here:)

You see how things were out for the better

Won the last 2 games of the season, causing us to drop to #4 in the draft(welcome Kp, not russel or okafer)

THJ had a very good game in the last win of the season against ATL(the one fisher should have tanked) even had 5 ast.

With atl being so in love with THJ, we got a solid PG in return and got rid of a low IQ player. Everything happens for a reason, I been stop believing in coincidences

I feel bad for timmy. I did like him even with his flaws. However i loved the grant trade since it was first announced at the draft

Yea I feel for Timmy he's a good kid and has talent on offense... His shooting stroke reminded me of Reggie millers... Obviously he needs work but I think things will come around for him:.. Sometimes you need to hit rock bottom to build yourself back to where your supposed to be ... Good luck Timmy everything happens for a reason stay strong

In any case I cant think of two players I was more excited about and turned more sour on that Timmy and Shump. Skills and athleticism are nice... its what is between the ears that matters the most. I think what I appreciate most about this roster is the mental makeup.

Will be interesting to see how he plays in the DL, especially if the team he's with runs the system Atlanta plays.

I also assume that he will be playing D and not just there to gun away.

Important period in his career.

Its amazing that he went from being called to train with the Olympic team and was one of the top NBA rookies, to being a D-leagued player. But this is a good evaluation of the D league if they could actually improve a player like Hardaway Jr. The NBA needs the D-league to be able to develop guys like him.

yea big test. Cant be easy for the son of an NBA star to grind it out in the Dleague (aprospos to that anyone see Stockon's kid get posterized in the d league the other day?).

From what Ive read, THJ didn't listen to coaches in NY, didn't want to work on the holes in his game. I was very happy we got that pick for Timmy. Im sure ATL thought to themselves that it must have been the environment in NY that was largely responsible for Timmy's freefall, and that a change of scenery would do him good. Sure did the Knicks some good.

When Hardaway first got here and Melo was going through his 4th quarter slumps, THJ was the most clutch player on the roster. Unfortunately that early success, making the all rookie team (one of them) seems to have gone to his head.

that doesnt prove he was a diva. I dont like to trash former knicks unless i got solid proof. The point is im very happy with jerian grant, i was a big fan of his since notre dame. As far as timmy i hope the best for him. HOWEVER if he really is a diva then he deserves all the criticism
