Offense still trying to find its way in the 4th when the opposing D tightens. Melo isos aren't the only way to go. I'd like to see more 2-man game between Melo and Afflalo or KP and Melo.
Also, Galloway needs to be closing games over Calderon.
At the end of the game I actually have no problem at all when Melo starts an ISO about 15 ft from the hoop after gaining position, especially if the others are moving to get open. I felt that guys were too stationary at the end.
they expended a lot of energy on defense and honestly it looked like they took some offensive plays off while we ran some iso-Melo. I have no problem with that. Its just a win, GOOD teams can win a variety of ways. Knicks can drop 120 on you and win. Knicks can be stifling and hold you to 90 and grind out a win that way. KP can drop 29 one night and 7 the next and both are wins. What does that tell you? That this team is pretty deep and versatile. All fantastic signs.
Pretty sure that the defensive surge was mostly with the second unit in...outscored them 25-18 in the third.
Yup, good teams seem to win in a variety of ways, and with different guys stepping up. We saw the good LT today and Williams supplied a spark.
Houston lost at Memphis tonight, so both teams will have played the night before when they play tomorrow.
Win guarantees a road trip split.
Gut check time.
