What Fish did last night should inspire Adam Silver and the rules committee to get off their asses and create a new rule which states:
ALL PLAYERS DRESSED MUST BE PLAYED.

In NHL every single player on the bench (except backup goalie) is used in the game. It works. Fourth line guys are beloved by fans as much as the starters. NHL has no problem allowing every dressed player to play, NBA shouldn't either. Every dressed player gets in the game must be a rule in the NBA. These guys are on the team because the organization feels they can help the team. It's only 13, 14, 15 guys. Every one of them must play! Simple as that.

Congrats to Fish last night for showing the world exactly what basketball is -- a team game. We pay our money, we tune in to see the games --- we want to see the team play, not just eight or nine guys. It's a team sport! Whole team must play.

Rec league rules! All the kids get to play.
Ice cream after every game and a participation trophy at the end of the season!! Yay!!!!

BTW, how many minutes must each player at a minimum play?

So NHL is now a CYO rec league?

It's called a team sport. I want to see my TEAM!
Why bother having 15 guys on the team if only eight are going to play? Heck, why not save money on uniforms and just pay for eight jerseys. That's what you are proposing?

Yes! The 15th player should get almost as much court time as the starting 5!

Do shifts like hockey. 3rd shift for the win!

Just a stupid analogy all around. Guys (in theory) get paid accordingly to their production per minutes on the floor. There's a reason garbage time was coined.

So you people here feel that Lance Thomas should not have played last night. Got it.

If you were coaching we'd have lost last night. My way with my new rule we beat the Raptors, your way we lose. My way is obviously better.
Knicks played everybody and won, Raptors didn't and lost. You feel the loser's way is the right way. Strange.

I am almost getting tired of saying "I know basketball," but I know basketball. This is the smart strategy. Use every single player, every single game! These guys are on your team for a reason, use them! Fish knows the value of every player he has. He can get production from EVERY player on his bench. The Frenchman on the end of the bench today..."Get in there," says Fish. And the guy plays like he is the second coming of Jordan. Fisher uses my every-player-plays strategy very well. Fisher is no doubt already a candidate for 2015/16 "Coach Of The Year Award."

I know basketball...and this year so does Fish.

Fish did the same thing last year. Look how that turned out. The NHL will never be a model for success. It's the other way around. They are struggling to keep up ratings. I guess nobody wants to pay high dollar to watch the 13th man.....
