Good game. Grant might have had his worst game so far. Not worried because Wall does that to elite PGs as well. Its also his first regular season game at his Dad's old stomping grounds, and his Dad was in the stands watching, might have been nervous. Grant also got clocked a few times, and I think it rattled him a bit. I think he has to get used to the physicality of the NBA game as well.
Galloway is turning into a legit starting SG. I know he's started a lot of games already, but that was when the Knicks had mostly D league talent to work with. His shot selection looks better from last season.
Lopez is showing why he is a great addition. His defense puts the offense in a much better position to win the game. I know Fisher is monitoring Melo's minutes, but Im guessing he's doing it for Lopez as well judging by the substitution patterns. Hey, if it keeps Lopez relatively fresh for the playoffs then Im all for it.
Thomas is turning into a real find. His best quality IMO is not his takes to the rim, but his ability to move without the ball which he is doing very well.
Melo shaked off the rust, thats going to make things easier on his teammates.
Calderon showed some improvement. As long as his game is headed in the right direction (on offense anyway) Im guessing that Fisher will keep him in the starting line up.
Overall this team definitely has an edge. The last Knicks team to have one was the 54 win season, but that really was only for half a season, until the vets started dropping like flies. Unlike other Knick teams, you hit these guys, and they will hit back. Its been a long time since we had anyone like O'Quinn. At least who wasn't at the tail end of their career.
Would like to see them get KP involved sooner. Nothing is really being run for him but he is still finding ways to have an impact. Still looking forward to Grant and Porzingis getting more PT together.
