You're slicker than they are, you saw right through it. Well done. It will be interesting to see how THJ responds to playing his old team.

Not sure if you saw but Timmy didn't play in Atlanta's last game, inactive due to basketball reasons. Apparently he's having trouble adjusting to their offense. He is useless, a 1/2 dimensional player. Phil's biggest coup in the offseason has to be dumping him in exchange for an actual good PG in Grant. Bravo!

Yes I did know, saw him dribble the ball off his foot in the preseason as well. Still going to be interesting to see what he does out there, he was such a diva.

Edit: Im guessing THJ will get a few minutes tonight, give him a chance to get his mojo back. If he doesn't, that's quite a fall.

You can do it for the whole season, you know.

Game 6 -- Knicks cut Greek Freak 2, so Greek Freak 1 gets his revenge
game 7 -- 4th round pick Porz gets to show Lakers they blew their second round pick
game 8 -- Kyle Lowry gets to say a big "F.U." to Jim Dolan for nixing the deal that would have brought him to the Knicks
game 9 -- former great Ewing sits on Hornets bench and seethes watching Fisher doing the job Ewing should have been offered

Literally could do this for every game.

You want to remind us of some of your gems? The previous list was closer to the mark and its the first 5 games of the season. Knicks have been in the cellar for so long its not a stretch to believe that the league would play with the schedule to gin up the ratings.

I may be wrong on this, but I don't think the Knicks even brought in Ewing for an interview for head coach spot.
If that is true, then that's just wrong.

Honestly, though, apart from Isiah, I am happy with all the guys who have in recent years landed the head coaching job. They didn't work out, but none of them were a "what the f.. u.. c...k" signing.

Yeah, the NBA sat for hours and hours to come up with a game that would gin up the ratings for opening day...and they came up with Knicks v Bucks.

Last year Knicks and the big buzz new era of Phil vs. LeBron's homecoming in Cleveland was definitely a grab for TV ratings. But I have to inform you that I really don't think Knicks v Bucks was.

The thread wasnt about a single matchup, it was about the first five games, each having a recent backstory in relation to the team they're playing. It looks like more than just coincidence. Ive heard much wilder theories.

They're right about that. When the Christmas schedule came out and we weren't on it, that said a ton.
But we are getting the opening game on TNT's Thursday schedule. I do find that a bit surprising.

To be honest, I don't like any of my favorite teams having national games. I like our announcers, our time slots, our pre and post game shows. As a Giant fan the first thing I do when the new schedule comes out is count all the late night national games we have and then I start to curse. Sort of glad the Knicks number of national games has fallen. Will miss the Christmas game, though.

What? I clearly said I don't like any of my teams playing national prime time games. I said I curse when I see how many prime time games the Giants get every season.

What the hell is wrong with this place? I see I am surrounded here by people who haven't even acquired the simple skill of reading. Instead of looking at Knicks box scores, folks, why not pick up a book and develop the skill of reading. Start with "See Dick, Jane, And Spot Run."

Pretty amazing, actually. I thought about Monroe and THJ, but did not consider the links to the other teams.

Knew that he had not suited up, but had not heard why.

Are you speculating on this or have there actually been reports hinting at his problems with an offense being used by a coach who had worked with Pops?

Yeah, like passing the ball, putting the ball in the hoop and remembering the plays. Nothing too serious

fishmike 9/27/2024 11:00 PM Ug I hate this. The idea of Towns is great until you see what a pussy he is. Jules is a dog. DD was a flamethrower locked up cheap for 3 more years. First Leon move I hate

The problem is, he shoots to damn much, and doesn't move the rock, he doesn't look for the best shot, he looks for the quickest available shot.

Hawks defense look pretty bad
