The bulls took 39 threes .... welcome to the new age.

Chicago will be fun to watch and it will also be quite telling. This team will shoot a sh1t load of threes and very few mid range shots.

Love Hoiberg but will he go to far with advanced stats? Lets see.

so here is what phil is thinking ....

No...its not, but he will try to convince you it is anyway.

Noah is now on the top of the key making passes and taking 3s. Will be fun to watch...no?

It will be interesting to see if they have the type of success in the win column that they did with Thibs. Just read the recap. Butler seems thrilled to playing this style.

Any coach that comes after a Thibs type coach is going to be loved by his players.

It will be fun for a while, unless they are winning.

I predict that chicago will be a really fun team to watch.

Does anyone think that chicago was fun to watch last year with old school snail ball?

The nba is really corny. They used to bash Dantoni now they all wanna be him. Its ridiculous.

They do have a bunch of guys who don't need to be told to play hard on the defensive end, which is a positive thing.

Might be easier for them mentally, but the Bulls, as presently constituted, hardly seem like a perimeter team. Until last year, Butler was a poor 3pt shooter, and there were few gunners playing big minutes for them. Even though Portis, who I like, might develop consistent range on his shot, he is still more of a midrange player at this point.

Want to really change your style? Then you'll have to retool the roster. They still have a power lineup, from what I can see, and drafting Portis cemented that even more.

Was it the NBA doing the bashing, or knick fans?

Before GS won, small ball wasn't seen as a system to win in the playoffs.

Dantoni style was a little early. If he was going to coach today for the first time, teams would be all over him.

The know it alls at tnt and espn said that style can't win. They bashed Dantoni for "forcing guys to play his style". Now every team is forcing their players to play that style. It's disgusting.

I want to play big and box out all these small line ups so we can grab every single rebound

the problem that I had with MDA was that he was so desperate to prove his theories and to win the pissing war with Melo and Dolan that I believe that it clouded his judgement.

How he allowed TD to lead the knicks in 3 point attempts while shooting 26% from downtown was beyond me.
