Wasn't she a pg for the liberty at some point in her career.

Anyway I was wonder, If you had a choice between her a Fisher has the Knicks head coach, which would be your choice?

With her winning the summer league, she's getting high praises, and be up for a head coaching job next season.

i believe she used to play for the liberty

if i had the choice i would bring in good PLAYERS to coach. it doesnt matter male, female, black, white, big or small...a coach will only be as good as their players. she ran some nice sets in the summer league but the reality is she had a 6-9 PG in kyle anderson who was unstoppable. im not saying she cant or wont coach but we shouldnt take summer league scores or titles too seriously

my $0.02

Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

I like the fact that she is coming up through San Antonio - and on that basis alone, I would pick her.

I don't know that she is ready to be a NBA head coach- nor do we really know that Fisher is or was.

So her Summer League cred won you over?..If a male coach won Summer League Championship would you think that qualifies him to be a head coach?..Who won Summer League Championship last year?

Hell yea she was on the Liberty in it's early days turn of the century. It was probably argued here that she and Teresa Whitherspoon were the best guards in the Garden at that time! Becky worked on MSG for Knicks broadcasts alongside Al Trautwig a couple times. It will be interesting to see where her career takes her. Women ballers get more $$$ abroad, Hammon is a naturalized Russian citizen because of her playing out there. But I could see her running an NBA club one day. But next year nah. Maybe she'll be Pop's successor!

Being that she is the first woman to ever coach a professional NBA team, that is ground breaking

If Fisher ends up in the lottery again this year(being as we don't have any lottery picks), hire her or any able bodied coach with a decent basketball mind.

Muiday isn't about wins and losses, it's about talent and skills demonstrated on the court...You think a coach can be judged on Summer League play?

Not for nothing, but in the big coaching matchup of the SL, the Fisher coached Knicks beat the Hammond coached Spurs...no?

I love Becky - not that I was a WNBA junkie by any stretch, but when summer rolls around and you get the basketball itch, you do what you got to do.

She always seemed very smart, both in basketball and individually. She's in the best situation I can imagine for a young coach - right next to Pop in one of the most professional atmospheres in sports. I wish her well.

But what are we dumping Fisher for now? The few people already calling for the swap, did you watch SA in summer league (other than the one game we played them - which we won BTW)? What did you notice in her coaching that calls for this already?

I'm sure she'll do great when she gets the chance, but she's still an unknown on the bench.

I'm willing to give fish this yr to redeem himself, but thats it

She isn't, but she's the first female player to get respect from both coaches and players alike.

First female coach to garner the respect of the best coach in the game. Game recognize game.

Pop has good taste. Would have been a bit better if the fist woman they picked was not also eye candy.

SMH as the kids say.

It would have been better to show respect to the talent of women by picking a woman who more obviously relied on her talent to achieve, versus someone who is conventionally good looking and what — winked her way to her current position? What a backhanded compliment.

Ugh. The obsession on looks is part of the scaffolding in the glass ceiling, guys. Grow up.
