That's a fact jack

I like upside and presence of J.Grant
But can you imagine ? if rookie gets hurt of start of NBA Knicks 2015/16 season ?

Whose ? the PG ? what alot of pressures Knicks gurus put on their roster's BIGs
the 3's and 4's spot position.

Grant is still a rookie, our rookie is gonna be good.

But when he's still developing and playing primary PG
when he's out OR injured if this team expects the disdained Jose Calderone and/or the presence of Langston Galloway
to be Point Guards here Knicks are in trouble until Grant develops into cruicial PG position.

Calderone and Galloway aren't going to scare rest of NBA teams with their limitations on

the whole NBA will laugh at Knicks putrid point guard position right now.

Not even a legitimate backup PG whom can only do that role.
The BIGs as Robin Lopez, KP, and established NBA star Melo Anthony will not benefit from lack of PG play and leadership outside
of Jerian Grant.

No sports Knick writer has yet to write about PGs for knicks, with all the decent moves Phil Jackson told
us fans he made you cannot ship Jose Calderone fast enough out of Knickland for me!

Galloway is a nice story however he's utmost a NBA backup playmaker whom isn't going to be difference maker
whether off the bench OR starting.

Not a big deal in the offense Knicks want to execute.
Lakers had Fisher... was he some great PG?
Galo and Calderon are good enough even if Grant will be out for some reason.
Knicks will not be a any kind of contenders for anything next season.
If need for PG will arise we will get a PG.

I think many are being too harsh on Galloway. I'm not gonna use his poor performance in the summer league against him, he'll be ok.

Can Jerian be categorized as a sleeper PG, if he's a known commodity through his Notre Dame performances and Summer League?

If Jerian gets hurt, we still have warm bodies in Calderon and Galloway. Just run Iso Me7o, I meant the triangle through Melo.

Pretty sure we have the Room Exception left to offer any players, point guard or otherwise out there.

The Calderon hate here is funny. He was hurt last year. The year before he was the starting PG on a 50 win team in the West with excellent stats, both traditional and advanced.

Maybe Jose has crossed that magical line of 33 years old when he can no longer be expected to even heal from an injury or remember how to play basktball.

Phil and fish has made it known, they want to add another pg, and back up center, but they are definitely running out of options.

Can you imagine? What if a meteor hits MSG during a game? Kind've pointless worrying about hypotheticals like this.

Srsly tho: This team isn't contending this year first off. Secondly, the triangle really doesn't need a lead guard and Galloway, Calderon or some combo thereof will be used if Grant is injured.

The market is drying up. There aren't much point guards out there. Galloway is too short to play shooting guard. I would rather he play as a backup to Grant with Calderon coming in as a 3rd string point if he isn't traded or stretched. The Knicks should play Amundson as a 3rd string small ball center while Kyle O'Quinn plays backup to Robin Lopez. Play Derrick as a starting power forward with Krispy as a backup and Ndour as a 3rd string

Melo/Thomas/Early
Afflalo/Elliot Williams/Ledo

I might not fully understand the Triangle offense, but in a movement offense pretty much anybody can bring the ball up if they have good enough ball handling skills.

I don't hate Calderon . I was just saying that before hand he was a solid pg. Horrible defender but a. Very efficient shooter. They need to stop putting him in mid range situations and keep on running. The pick and pops with zinger and run the dribble hands offs at the 3pt line for him to get his 3 ball off.

What I feel is vital in non playoff season upcoming
Is point guards whom get the point

Why is it, We should have solely 1 good pg Grant whom is a rookie

Many teams has several where at 1 can pickup the slack

Galloway is more consistent scoring of 3point making
Than distribution of the ball which he is pretty inconsistent

Worries any knickerbocker fan

Jose was for his career and excellent shooter. Last year was the only time that he had a drop in his production from mid range. IMO this was just a worst case scenario last year. Everything went wrong. Jose's career FG% is 47.5% and his career 3pt% is 41.2%. There's really no reason that we should expect that Jose if healthy shouldn't be able to put up some excellent shooting numbers.

This is an example of what Jose can do if healthy and you can see it doesn't matter that he's not quick or athletic if he at least has his legs.


Look at how he's moving and you can tell that he's healthy at this time. It's easy to forget what he actually looks like when healthy after how he ended last year.

That is in no way a fact that he's shot cause he was injured last year so you have absolutely no way to prove that's a fact so you can't say it's a fact. Now if he doesn't play the way i think he can still play next year then i'll be the first to say he's not good enough to play the point anymore but i don't expect that to happen.
