1. Grant will be a starter by December-January, his court vision is amazing and decisions with the ball are instantaneous
2. Porzingis affects the play even when he doesnt block you, there were a ton of ppl throwing the ball somewhere near the rim when they saw him coming over.
3. Porzingis is damn near automatic from 10ft and in, can finish with either hand, and is not scared to put it on the floor and drive
4. We need to work on getting KP the ball when he's fought for positioning, alot of times he gets overlooked
5. Early has taken THJR's spot as chucker, he looks to shoot every single time
6. Kirk has replaced aldrich, smooth touch, nice midrange, nice passes out of the post, officially Chris Kaman 2.0
7. Ndour is the wildcard, Rebounds and plays Defense like a madman, active hands8
8. Ledo needs to get it together...You can tell its there, he just has to put it all together
9. this bunch plays D, there is no hole on D. Grant had multiple steals
10. Labeyrie is not ready...send to D-League
11. Thanasis is not Nba material, release him.....
12. Where the hell is gaudikas

I hope OK4 plays today, I wanna see porzingis take him out of the paint and abuse him like Kaminsky did in the national game

I am hoping the Lithuanian center plays today. I am wondering if Fish is giving Wear, Kirk, and Galdikas each a game.

Grant really reminds me of Teague. I agree he'll be the starter by like mid-season. The kid is damn good.

sorta, but he's by far better than any PG we've had here in YEARS
Nice combination of speed and skill, and he showed a nice shot yesterday both from 3 and a nice pullup off the dribble towards the end of the game

Grant made some impressive high difficulty passes, last night. Those extra years of seasoning paid off. If Calderon is out for a while with an injury, I dont believe he will get his starting job back. Would be great to have the first long term solution at PG in eons. Looks promising.

You know what... I don't mind Early taking a ton of shots cause he is hustling and going after rebounds and putting in a TON of effort. If he continues that trend and improves on D, Im all for it.

I thought the same thing. Early can score and in college he was an extremely clutch guy. I say let's see who surfaces as our #3 (or even #2 guy if that isn't Affalo.)

KP - Amazing how he changes the game on both offense and defense. And he is just going to get better, especially once he is comfy with his growing body.

Kirk - I do wonder if he can be our backup center, or maybe #3 at least. This is just summer league but he was on an NBA roster last year.

Ndour - I like the guy, he is like the 15th man.

Shved - If we don't find someone "worthy" of the 2.8 million exception, I hope we change our minds and bring Shved back.

Agree about 10 and 11 right now.

The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift. Albert Einstein

The entire point of Early is to be another scorer for this team. We need him to be active on both ends and he has the talent to actually play above he rim, get out on the break and finish. He's in the position you expect slashing to the basket and shooting. In the Triangle the Wings have to be active offensively. So Early is doing what he's supposed to be doing.

+1

The backup to Melo should be able to score and take the pressure off of Melo and the team when he is out. Early looks trimmer and he is playing hard and fast. I like what i see.

it's not so much what Melo does or doesnt do, it's what Early is showing and deserving. He's getting after it on the defensive end, rebounds, running the court and taking shots when they come. Decent passing too. So, I'd like to see him continue his improvements in all areas.

This is the Early we drafted. He had some injury issues and adjustment issues last year and it made him play passive. That's not who he had been in college. The way he's playing now is how he looked in College and what we expected of him. So for me this is just him finally getting on track after a tough rookie season. Late in the year he finally looked like himself. You could see the confidence and energy level.

I don't think they drafted Early to be featured on offense... the point of the triangle is to have everybody be active... I don't remember very many PJax rosters where the offense flowed from the SF position

Right, I don't think anyone means featured, but not him take the shots that come to him and are within offense or scrap follow-ups etc. He can be as athletic and good in transition as THJr or Shump or JR were.

I know it's hard to remember but Phil has had a SF who had prominent scoring role in his offense.

Toni Kukoc

Yeah I think perhaps people misunderstand the Triangle. Since EVERYONE is involved that includes your SF. You want your SF to be a versatile player. The more versatile everyone is the better. The thing that they usually don't want is a Pure PG that is Ball Dominant. It just doesn't fit the way this offense works. So Early is a wing and is supposed to be moving in this offense. Cutting, slashing, out on the break, finishing above the rim and able to hit the 3. People forget the Kukoc was part of Phil's team in Chicago.
