Porzingis could be fun to watch as he matures. With all the attention to his physique, basketball people look for fluid footwork, lateral quickness and reaction speed.

His shot is already in place. What were your first impressions?

I want him to be more opportunistic in getting into the paint on offense.

there was one play where he kinda stumbled into the lane and tossed the ball up and it went in-- I want to say that is the trait of a good shooter that has a feel for how to get the ball in the basket from anywhere on the court.

I thought he did well. I don't see him grabbing 10 boards on a regular basis anytime soon, but he held his own, I thought.

I thought that his teammates missed him quite a few times when he had good position. It'll all get worked out in time. KP is going to be groomed as a Primary scoring option so they won't let it go with his teammates not passing him the ball when he's calling for it and has his man sealed off. KP has the advantage against smaller players quite often and they need to take advantage of that with quicker passes. That said it's exciting seeing the potential this kid has.

Deron Williams may no longer be an All Star but he'd work a pnr great with Kris. Wish we had a above average point to get him the ball

I wish when they did the p and r they would do it more with Grant instead of Galloway.

It's coming. In time we'll get to see all of that stuff from these kids. That's the importance of these games. It provides the coaching staff with teaching material. They can point out the mistakes and missed opportunities. I'm really pumped about the potential of KP and Jerian.

I saw the same thing. We need to get Shved signed. It seems that the entry pass is a lost art.

I was screaming at the TV for them to just pass the damn ball to KP. He's so freakin huge and if he extends his arms just hit him in the hands with the ball. He was able to get post position in the Triangle and they were too scared to throw him the ball. Gotta hope that will improve with practice and trust that he'll make the catch. His teammates don't yet know he should be the primary option.

He is a baller. Despite being slight of build he fights for position, sets screens and boxes out. He also seems to be a great athelete and his athleticism, defense and height will make him a factor immediately. Once he gains some strength/girth I think he will be a star. Barring injury a 12 yr pro with several all star appearances.

Trade Deron for Cal-Deron.

Zinger is much better defensively than I thought he would be. He can guard the perimeter, where his size is intimidating.

Great lateral movement. He keeps toe to toe with penetrating guards and contests their shot at the rim. Right now he will struggle to overpower guys in the paint on both ends but once he gets stronger he is going to be special offensively & defensively

As long as kp stays in good position he's going to be very good. He's a great draft pick and perhaps the safest pick even though there was a boatload of disbelievers who should come around on him soon .

Yea a few times Galloway just ignored him. It seemed like Galloway had it in his head to be the man himself.

I agree. He gets open so easily and has a great shot he should be the primary scoring option for summer league. This is clearly what he needs to be groomed as.

It just concerns me knowing that we have MElo lurking for the regular season and that guy will freak out when he realizes the coaches and fans are way more into Kristaps that him.

Kristaps is the face of the franchise. Old man Melo ain't gonna tolerate that.

I was a naysayer and I've totally come around. I think he is going to be great.

Really liked what i saw. Keep in mind he is still dealing with the hip issue so he couldnt go all out. However his lateral movement for a big man is great, not afraid of contact, decent defense, can block, good passer, and i like his determination. Now he needs to get stronger AND he needs to rebound better

We needed a big. As far as I'm concerned Knicks got themselves the big with the 2nd most upside
