Per Wojo, 4 years, $16MM

Has anyone seen a lot of him?

I've only seen a bit of him on league pass last year. Remember him being good rebounder...

His advanced stats are decent for the limited minutes he gets.

Looks like we gave up another future 2nd rounder in the deal...apparently he was restricted FA

Guess since we couldn't get the real thing, Phil thought we would get the next best thing?

You think he's worth $4mm a year BRIGGS? I feel like I've only seen him play in a few games.

For the money it was a solid deal. I think he would be swell for the triangle

For what it's worth, some sources saying we gave up 2nd round pick but Wojo is saying it's a right to swap 2019 2nd rounders + cash.

Hope Wojo is right...swap better than giving pick up outright.

I'm Soooo happy!!!! This is the guy ice been wanting for months now. 24 yr old 6-10 versatile big man can rebound and play defense. Underrated offense but that's not his thing. He does all the dirty work. I'm happy!!!

Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

Good to hear! Looks like this move is getting other good reviews too from media + other guys too.

Bobby Marks, ex Nets front office man just said on Twitter he thinks O'Quinn might be the best pickup of all 4 guys we added this offseason.

Good stuff. I've only seen him play a few times and remember him being a decent rebounder + defender. Honestly haven't seen enough of him though to have a clear opinion but encouraged by all of the good reactions I'm seeing.

he's a very good backup, can do quite a bit. block shots, plays defense although sometimes too aggressive and can hit a jumpshot. and he's a good passer. Phil did good with one.

Value- wise I'd say Affalo Oquinn were the best.

Depth Chart
PG:Grant;Caledron;Galloway
SG:Afflalo;Nobody;Ledo
SF:Melo;Thanasis;Early
PF:KP;DWill;(nobody)
C:Lopez;OQuinn;Nobody

We still need a back up SG/SF. We aren't in any rush to sign the vet min players.
I would try and offer Shved/Gigi Datome the remaining money then get Cole Aldrich and wait for summer league to start rolling.

The Future is Bright!

The few times i've seen him he looked serviceable. Nothing sexy but he's better than a lot of JAG's out there. Phil with more of the same. Bigs with length

Year	Source Height w/o Shoes	Height w/shoes	Weight	Wingspan	Standing Reach	Body Fat	No Step Vert	Max Vert
2012 NBA Draft Combine 6' 8.5" 6' 10" 241 7' 4.75" 8' 10.5" 8.0 31.5 31.5

He only avg'd 16 mpg so there's not a lot to go on, but he seems like a productive reserve. He can be efficient and hits his FT's. Seems to have a little more game than the typical low minute reserve.

Opponents shot 48.6% with him at the rim last year, which is much better than average defense. For a 24 year old, his win shares are pretty good too. I'll give this signing an A-.

not saying i don't like the move or this guy isn't any good

but why would orlando only play him sparingly? it's not like there was a lot of talent blocking him.
