You put a big man on him who has to chase him around through screens which he can free himself up to knock down jumpers or back door. Were talking about a 7'1 dude who likes to move around and nail down jumpers. Not just stand still and spot up shoot. Couldnt agree more. Imagine if we had a slightly matured KP in the Pacers series in that 54 win season. The thought of Hibbert running after KP is almost comical. I am definitely excited about this dood. Legalize di NBA

Despite being so slim he actually plays with a lot of scrappiness. His posting is smart since he doesn't let guys just bend him over. He just sticks those long arms out and puts his fore arm in the defenders chest and creates space. I had a lot of fear that he wouldn't be able to post but I actually think he'll be OK against a lot of the SF and PF's who aren't really physical. Thanks, been trying to find full game highlights for sometime. The Future is Bright!

![]() Watched 2 of the game recaps posted in this thread (thanks Nix). Have to say that Porzingis's ability to catch and shoot is very Dirk like. He doesnt look to be afraid of contact. I agree with the OP that Porzingis moves great without the ball, smart player. The form on his jump shot is pretty fluid for someone so tall. Im confident that Porzingis's lateral quickness will speed his transition to becoming a better defender.
Most of these qualities Bargs has yet to show and Porzingis is just 19. |

He doesn't let defenders hold and grab him by just staying in motion. When he does post up smaller players he does a good job of getting a good base and holding them off as he catches the ball over the top. I can see what they saw in him. It's still raw but you can see the talent already. This guy with more strength is gonna be a beast. I don't even want him getting heavy. Just get stronger and little heavier but not massive. He needs to keep his quickness and athletic ability. |

![]() The most amazing thing I have seen from some of the highlights so far is him running off screens like Ray Allen and hitting the 3 after. What big 4 or 5 will be able to chase him off screens? If this kid can reach his potential it could be a game changer.

I thought WCS would be the best option cuz I thought this kid was a skinny pushover. He doesn't avoid contact as much as people said. He's just really good moving, so why waste that kind of talent? His release is quick and high. I can't wait to see him in Summer League. Just get this kid on a nutrition and weight lifting regimen and let him play. KP and Jerian should make a great PnR tandem!!! |

I fully expect him to at least gain functional strength. I don't even think he should gain a lot of weight just to get big. He should stay relative slim so that he can maintain his quickness. After watching him I think his game is gonna be more Dirk than Pau. I think he could be a Camby like defender as well down the line. He's got to learn team D but he has the length and athletic ability. |

![]() i don't think he needs to get that much bigger... he just needs to get a lot tougher and stronger... a lot of the super tall guys have seen a ton of injuries so i'd worry if he got to be over 250...
yao ming, ilgauskas, smits, sabonis, mark eaton, ralph sampson all had issues with their lower bodies... and all except for sampson was heavy... he's a little shorter than all of them so he's not doomed... if he can stay in the 230-240 range i'd be more optimistic about his long term health... he just needs to get a lot stronger and tougher.. his core looks very weak so a lot of body weight exercises like yoga with some lifting mixed in would do him good... you can survive as a skinny guy if you know how to mix it up in the paint... guys like bosh, anthony davis and garnett are really good at positioning themselves and going after the ball... he's just not very experienced or good at that yet... i'm not sure how good he'll ever be at rebounding but i don't think adding 30lbs is the answer... |

I bet such an attitude is catching. I can see Prozingis as a positive influence on Bargs, sort of a domino effect. "We are playing a game. We are playing at not playing a game..."
