![]() If they plan to draft him at 4, they really should look to trade down or dump the pick. That's a waste and an insane reach.

(even longer than BRIGGS). lol. soillid solid overall game. my only concerns are his strength but that should develop as he grows into his man suit. honestly, i dont think hes ideal at #4 but i wouldnt be overly disappointed. honestly to me, once we didnt get the #1 or #2 pick, i knew we'd be settling. to me its towns, okafor and everyone else is a question mark Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

![]() Unless Towns, Okafor or Russell falls to #4 I don't think any of the players we can get are sure fire franchise players!!! They all have some kind of limitations at best you could say that maybe Mudiay and Porzingis might have that kind of upside, but they haven't shown that in the way you got with D Rose, KD or Melo for example. "Franchise player" is a really high bar. It seems that most likely we're looking at adding an impact player.

![]() No effing way we waste the #4 on Kaminsky. Only way we draft him is in a solid "move down" scenario.

Im sure this will highly disappoint BRIGGS Don't think he'll be unhappy, and neither will I, even though I am as big of a fan of the Latvian as anyone here. Why can't you compare him to LMA when he came up? http://www.sports-reference.com/cbb/players/lamarcus-aldridge-1.html
As high a BB IQ as anyone in the draft As successful as anyone in the draft As good of a passer as any big man in the draft As good of a shooter as almost anyone in the draft Has shown dramatic and progressive improvement over his 4 years in college Has shown athletic improvement since his season was over, and folks have talked about his footwork Has showed his game and proven himself as much as anyone in the draft Is a legit 7 footer, despite his wingspan Played on a disciplined offensive and defensive team which may have limited him at times I do believe that if Porzingis is there at 4, you take him, but if Phil wants the more NBA ready player, you trade down and get Kaminsky. EnySpree: Can we agree to agree not to mention Phil Jackson and triangle for the rest of our lives?

My issue with Kaminsky is that NBA 4s (assuming he is used as a stretch 4 since he is too undersized to play 5), will not have the matchup issues that players in college had with him. On the other end and the boards, Kaminsky will be a complete liability. Given those things, I would say this is an extreme reach at 4 since he has limited upside. I understand there are a lot of question marks in this draft, but even the biggest fan of Kaminsky can's dream up enough upside to justify using the 4th pick on him. |

![]() IMO Kaminsky is a low bust potential big. You know what you're getting. High BB IQ. High Skill level. Good Size. Even tho his wingspan may not be impressive but his standing reach is still about 9'1.5" which is not bad at all. He's got great instincts and is better defensively than people give him credit for. His Defensive Rating was 92.6 which is actually really good. He'll be an impact player because he's highly efficient and has the game to excel in the Triangle. He'd fit great next to Melo and also Monroe if he was signed.

![]() franco12 wrote:why not just resign bargnani? They might do that too. You can never have too many high skilled and high IQ players in the Triangle. The more you add the better it all works. We literally have no one on the roster right now. Kaminsky would be the best big we've had on the team since 1st half of the season Amare in his 1st season. |

If Phil has a mock draft where picks 4-10 are basically on the same level, then how can Kaminsky, Stein and whoever else in that range be a reach? The NBA mock should be like this. 1 Towns

He has no upside and you can get a similar or better player without spending much in FA. That is an awful pick. Outside of a few supporters on this board nobody really has him that high (saw you added Payne, that was creative). When was the last time a player like him came into the league and made an impact to justify the high draft status? |

The risk of finding a franchise player after the top 3 is very high. The risk of finding a solid role player after the top 3 is very low. It depends on Phil risk level.....After Russell and OK4 are gone, all you have is two groups.
Low risk to medium / high reward (Kaminsky, Stein, Winslow, etc..) Will Phil pick from the low risk group.....Also called the low bust group. I think Winslow could be a star NBA player. Kaminsky could be a star as well.....They just don't fill one of our major needs that we've had for a long time since Patrick Ewing....(a defensive center). Winslow does at the SG/SF position. And he might be the BPA for what we need. But don't sleep on the high risk high reward group! How must risk is Phil willing to take? Or will he pick the player that Orlando and Kings want? It's pretty easy to get some intel on what other teams are looking to pick. Philly is making it known they want Russell....Either they want LA to draft Russell, so that OK4 falls to Philly? Or they really want Russell.....Philly is really sitting in a nice position, since they need a big and a small. Born in Brooklyn, Raised in Queens, Lives in Maryland.
