He is not a true 7 feet tall as previously reported. That one picture of him standing next to Okafor makes him appear to be a good two inches shorter; not that it matters, but.
Thank God Fisher is no longer our coach, now let's get Calderon out of here:)

towns sucks because he's not a true 7fter...what a loser
Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

Towns is definitely not 7'. He looks 6-10 at most. He's got skinny legs too. He is so talented tho. It's almost a crime how little of his talent he used at UK. That boy has all kinds of talent. He's a PF at the next level.

Towns has a decent wingspan and is actually the opposite of Kaminsky, in that his neck is shorter, while Frank's is longer.

OK4 has an even longer wingspan, and a greater standing reach.

Still no updated numbers since 2014, though, which is annoying.

I wonder if Towns can defend at 4 on the perimeter in the NBA, this is yet to be determined.

Everybody want to be a stretch 4, but you also have to guard the position.

Still think his best position is at center.

Also his ass isn't large enough. He'll never amount to anything in the NBA with that flat ass.

You can't go by pictures.....Because Towns never stands straight up......It's like he has an old man hump in his back. Versus Stein looks like he has a straight poll as a spine. But Towns true height is close enough to be a dominant center in the NBA......give or take a few inches.

Towns seems to have longer legs, OK4 has a longer neck- seems a bit taller.

I thinks Towns may be hindered on D against quicker 4s, if they actually play him at that position.

Watch Ferguson on the Jets at left tackle in recent years. Guy has giraffe legs and is having more and more trouble keeping in front of D-lineman.

He's tall enough and strong enough to guard any center in NBA history....If anything, this increases Ok4's shorter perception. I always thought Ok4 was the shorter one. One thing you have to consider is what these guys wear on the basketball court. When I go to work, I'm 5'11.....When I play ball, I'm 6'0 or taller......This is because of my insoles and double socks I wear on the court, to reduce shock and provide more cushion on my knees. So that's why I laugh at how people think height dimensions without shoes is important. That only counts when playing volley ball in the sand.

Jason Terry already admitted that he wears 4 or 5 pairs of socks, so he buys bigger shoes to fit. Well, this also increases his height. But it gives him longevity on those 38 yr old knees.

Comparing height in church shoes is irrelevant.

His height will certainly not deter me from picking this kid. I love his game and actually believe he is the best player in the draft with Russell as the 1a. Next dude in my opinion is WCS.

I think his height is fine, and he's a good athlete. He's about 6'11" in shoes at this point, has long arms, and can jump.

Just wonder what his eventual position is, and whether he can hold his own on the perimeter at the 4 position if that is where they chose to play him.

I've seen him close out on a perimeter shooter when he played in a zone, and recover when he was helping inside and the ball was kicked outside, but you have not seen guard quicker guys on the perimeter on a regular basis.

Do you really want him running around much on D? He can be an offensive force...why wear him down guarding quicker 4s on the outside. You also lose a good shot blocker if he's on the perimeter.

He would be a center for me.

He wears a size 20 shoes....he already looks heavier than he was in college. He's going to be a big dude. If he plays the 4, he will be injury prone. He moves his feet like they weigh a ton. VS. If you look at Stein's feet, you would think he's a SF.

I assume they have looked at his growth plates and all that stuff. Wonder if he has another inch of growth in him.

Not sure about his weight- he has really worked on dumping the fat and putting on the muscle.

Sucks that we have to talk about him from a distance, and not be discussing whether or not Phil will pick him at #1.

Did not know his shoes were that big...must do well with the girls.
