One of the dudes on the Summer league team is "Headache" from the
And 1 mixtape tour.http://aol.nba.com/media/knicks/arizasummerleague_040706.jpg click for a pick of him guarding Ariza from the Knicks official site

I think that is cool.....

Isiah is really doing his thing as far as trying to find good talent to play for the Knicks.

I think it's Tim Gittens....i gotta make sure....I saw the picture and then I was like cool.....Headache has a crazy handle plus he plays defense.....he's the only one on the tour that plays defense. He calls himself a shotblocker, lol.

I just checked it is him....they got some really good players on the Knicks team.....especially point guards. Frank got his work cut out for him. I guess Isiah wants to apply pressure on Frank to take his game and role serious. Tim Gittens is a player. Andre Barrett is a player. Zack Marbury is a player.

I gotta research more of these guys to see who else is on the roster I haven't noticed.

yea frank is head and shoulder above those players, but one player Barret is good, he is a 4 year collegiate player in the big east, he can ball.. Zach Marbury is garbage...

Yeah but you still have to have a guy on the roster to step in if something were to happen with Steph. We don't want another Allan Houston, Ewing, Camby, etc type situation where all we see and hear about is can the Knicks win without them. I'm sick of that.

If Steph goes down and lets say Isiah trades Frank then you gotta have your second and third string step up. They should be able to keep the team stable until the main guy gets back. I'm sick of relying on a go to guy.....everyone should be able to contribute.

and last time I checked, those 40 mins were too much.
We can't afford to have our starters exhausted and thez point is also to find tradable assets while they're unproven and cheap.

think about the future, not only the present.

It doesn't hurt to have these players come in, just to give them a ghost of a shot. We all know that Frank is probably either the best or 2nd best player on that team, (Sweetney being the other guy) and that besides him and Sweets, the only other players that have a chance of making the team are DerMarr, Ariza and that guy Chan. I'm kinda pulling for DerMarr and even Ariza (If we make a move to clear a roster spot.) I'd like to see the Knicks develop them.

Sorry to repeat it, but I'd kindly suggest to cut M. anderson.

I also agree. Yes, Stephon can play 40 minutes a game but why exhaust him out like that when we have another good PG on the roster. He's even said before that when he has to play the whole game he likes to rest a little on defense. I would rather have Stephon play less minutes and be more of a force on defense then having him play 40 minutes a game and slack a little on defense.

true. We need defense and that is a mindset that can't be implemented if your leader (or supposed leader) don't give everything on this side of the court.

when it comes down to it...Lenny will be playing Marbury 39-40min a game in order to keep his job. Specially since Marbury is the only star on this team.

It depends on the development of Franky. If Franky develops some more consistancy & confidence with his jumper and cuts down on the TOs a little he would be huge. Lenny would have the confidence to take Marbury out for a solid rest. And Williams has an excellent ability to create ball movement and create rhythem in an offense plus is a very solid defender as well.

I believe Ariza is a guy that we have to keep and we have to develop as he has lottery pick potential in 2yrs. They say he is excellent in finishing in traffic and has crazy body control in the air. As well as being a great defender in college.

Chan has potential & work ethic & is motivated from what I read about him so im hoping he impresses and sticks around.

We're all forgetting that Stephon can pickup minutes at the SG position. So you need a good PG on the court at the same time.
I liked the backcourt where Penny ran the point and Stephon was the SG. It worked against the Nets for a short while in the playoffs.
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

Frank at the 1 and Steph at the 2 worked better.

Houston
Marbury
TimThomas
KurtThomas
Mohammed
Sweetney
Penny
Frank
Dikembe
Othella
Shandon
Moochie
-------
Baker
DerMarr
Ariza

That's 15 guys right there.
I don't see Chan or Barrett making the roster, especially when you consider Isiah may try to sign a guy like Eric Williams and Michael Doleac. Or both. The only hope for guys like DerMarr, Chan, Barrett is a trade opening up a roster spot.
